What’s missing from your class’s fantasy in World of Warcraft?
Personally, I think the most underserved is Rogues. When Rogues have content built for them (think stealth missions in Legion), that’s peak class fantasy right there.

I remember when locked doors in dungeons were a thing.
Bring those back.
Locked doors, locked treasure chests, things that you could get via pick pocketing (Grim Guzzler key)… man, it added SO MUCH to that class fantasy.
I need more undead dragons, preferrably ones I murdered and raised in a mockery of their existence just found laying there, definitely not murdered for the sole sake of being raised into undeath.
That is evil!
I feel paladin’s in a pretty good place for our class fantasy, but what I really miss is having more buffs to give out. I used to love casting random buffs on players in passing, and it felt like something a holy knight would do to those in their presence.
Sometimes I wish I had an aura you don’t need to be partied up for. I miss feeling like a proto-hero class.
The blessings i can live without. That always felt like more of a priestly thing to me. Paladins are more about the mid combat assistance, with things like their hand spells. That and just radiating power with their mere presence. To that end, i think their auras need a massive boost, because right now they are just lame. Ret aura especially.
Well I’ve not been priest for very long… (level still got to update.) But I feel like it’s either Holy or Shadow only. Discipline lack some presence…
Ret aura’s always been something that’s just felt ‘meh’. I’ve never once had a period in raid where I was like “Oh man, Devo or Ret, gosh this is so hard to decide…” (I know it’s got niches but man I wish it was cooler).
The blessings aspect is more so something I miss from both early WoW and what I remember from my EQ days. Paladins had spells similar to priests which provided buffs and the like, with many upping armor, HP, anything that was more support oriented. Kinda wish we could get something like that which we could cast on others.
Aura buffing would be great though.
It’s rogues by far. It’s not even a question.
The game just isn’t designed for sneaky thievery and other roguishness. The best you get is occasionally being able to use Cloak of Shadows to skip a bit of trash in M+,
Better transmogs. Things that are light, airy, and would be fitting for a very active martial artist. Certainly not bulky shoulderpads and armor-like chest pieces. Would love some more feminine looks, like kimonos.
As a Druid, more open world nature interaction personally.
Would be interesting to have little side quests you come upon when crossinf a diseased copse of trees or being able to help Azeroth herself when the sword was stuck.
Things like that
I feel you, more from the perspective I mained Shaman for a very long time. But in TBC especially, Auras / totem in groups made such a bigger difference. I imagine in Vanilla classic as well but I can’t say I’ve got to raid during those times. From wrath to Legion it mattered to have a raid wide aura / totem of each type Holy/Resto, and so on…
But nowadays it’s like Aura feel like they have lost so much flavor… totem as well but at least they bring more to the Shaman or group.
