Looking to see how both alliance and horde feel about class distributions on their server. I don’t know any reliable websites for this information so I’ll take vibes. I want to roll something in high demand
If you don’t premade wsg, hunters are very rare to get on your team and you often get 6/7 warriors on your team.
For dungeons warriors very rarely tank. Most groups are waiting on a tank. Some groups wait on heals, some priests have gotten money selling healing services. I’ve never had this problem because druid I can tank and heal. Highly recommended.
that’s good info. I guess im thinking about raiding mostly. Tank and healer shortages make a lot of sense. I noticed on Dreamscythe there’s a warlock shortage.
My guild is recruiting Warriors, Shamans, Warlock/Mages/Priests if that gives you any idea.
I’ll get roasted for this probably but ‘Actual’ Tanks and not “I assumed the role to get into a group, have severe tunnel vision when it comes to multiple mobs or mana of the group (and not just the healer).” At this point, I’m not sure people care what spec you are, what gear you’re wearing (preferably bring some plate pieces if you’re a Warrior and maybe a shield if things go wonky). If you’re thinking Bear tanking don’t sit on your innervate, give it to the healer or someone else in need unless you’re Shifting, pre-hot’ing and going back into Bear. If you go Pally, just (see above) and don’t get tunnel vision.
Healers I feel are in pretty decent demand. Don’t group with many Warlocks so that’s also an option. If you’re not digging Cloth but want a pet, Hunter’s are around but not nearly as much as Warrior / Rogue / Mage; these three are always in LFG. I’d say go Druid, get to 40 dual spec and bam!
Shaman if you’re keen on healing, Warlock for the funsies, Priest because you can heal or Dps.
For Horde:
Warrior
Mage
Shaman
For Alliance:
Warrior
Mage
Priest/Pally
If you roll anything else raids only take 1-2 of each and if your not involved in the forming of the guild or are friends with the Officers getting a raid spot is tough.
High demand classes:
- Warrior
- Priest
- Shaman
- Rogue
- Warlock
Gear competition:
- Warrior
- Rogue
- Priest
- Shaman
- Lock
You won’t get any gear on warrior unless you bribe officers. There are so many warriors in every raid. Rogue is almost as bad.
Mage is not in demand. No one needs mages. There are just a lot of mages. They don’t do anything another class can’t do.
Warriors and shamans will always be in high demand.
Interesting. So there is not a Warlock/Druid shortage? Usually those two are rarely played.
That is just horde side.
In Alliance, Warlock are always needed.
And why would there be a lot of mages if they don’t do anything?
I think they’re known for something.
we need more feral druids and ret paladins
