We are inevitably reaching the point where every race becomes every class. The problem is that the visuals sometimes don’t match the race in question.
The only solution to that is for class customization to be implemented. Simply talk to a trainer, and you’ll enter a mode where you can change the appearances of your abilities.
Let the classes be more like templates for some crazy ideas. Night Elf warlocks can instead be like aggressive druids, throwing blasts of pure nature instead of fel magic, and summoning creatures of the wild instead of demons. Or instead grant necromancer visuals, summon undead and throwing unholy blasts.
Or priests changing their Light and Shadow Spells to be reversed. Be a Shadow Healer or a Battle Priest. If Night Elf paladins are gonna be a thing, their visual should be Elune’s silver light, not the golden light of the titans.
Will it cost a raid tier or two? Yes, but I think that’s a fair trade.
I kinda dig the idea, but I think it would be better to be more generalized rather than very specific.
Like, some I think it’s important for racial identity, I think the Blue Light common to Elune is long overdue for Priests, but other classes, like Warlocks, I think they would benefit from having other class fantasies baked in, imagine something like a Necromancer for demonology.
Other classes are a bit harder, I can’t think of anything that would particularly change the mage’s class fantasy, save for maybe lightning magic for Arcane? Mages have this weird connection to lightning where in theory it’s something they can do, but it never was represented in the lore past WC2 save for a few spells having lightning around them like Arcane Power.

Lookup Fishbones06 on Reddit. They made hundreds of glyphs for class skins.
Blizz really is missing out on a goldmine if they wanted to sell glyphs in the shop.

Given the mentality of the fandom at this point, might as well go nuts.
I simply can’t accept Draenei warlocks or Night elf warlocks. Let’s ignore 10,000 years of fel corruption and try fel magic again. What could go wrong?
So maybe make them templates to provide an alternate form of class.
A Fire warlock who summons fire elementals.
You want a Lightning Mage? Have Arcane visuals be lightning instead. Could be an alternate variant of shaman.

Waggling that fel magic
Not a good idea and I will explain why; this game also have PvP. Tmog makes it hard judge and opponent nowdays. We need the visuals to be able to identify certain class. Like in WPvP situation or Battlegrounds, where there can be many oponents. I can brush off a fire spell but a chaos bolt I know I need to reposition or I’m about to take a lot of damage.
