Have I used addons so long that I can not remember that class colors don’t show up anywhere on players? I went into the BGs without any of my addons (using the new UI only) and the only way to see the enemy class, was to stare at the tooltip (outside of obviously knowing what class gear looks like… but that distant player in odd xmog, i’d just like to click on him and know)… Am I missing a setting somewhere? Or this is still just an addon thing…?
That was always under Interface->Raid Frames->Display class colors.
I still see it there, for some reason unchecked on the character I looked at. Sorry, can’t test it in PvP for you.
This only applies Class Colors to your Raid Frame and ONLY your allies… This does not apply the Class Colors to Selected Players or Enemy Players.
I never have used an addon to change that, yet always saw class colors with the standard ui options. I’ll test it.
One of my UI addons I disabled Displays Players names in Class Color and I guess that is not a thing without an addon… because everyone I click on just has the same colored names… I really don’t see how they deem it beneficial to add an option to display class colors in the raid frame for your allied groups but not have class coloring for names especially for your enemies…
I thought you were talking about class-colored plates, which I have always been able to see in PvP.
Are nameplates class colored? Well, I guess I will have to play with that mess turned on if I don’t want to use addons…
Enemy player nameplates become class-colored in PvP but not in PvE with that selected. Friendly nameplates are class-colored at all times. It seems a number of settings have defaulted or are no longer persistent.
Ah OK… Yea I was referring to the Player Portrait when you click on someone. I didn’t use nameplates because of all of the screen clutter it causes but maybe I will get use to it… Ty for the help.
Did Blizzard add in Copy/Paste functionality natively? Or do you still need Prat for that?
They definitely unchecked Raid Frames Class colors.
