Class Choice

I am having a very difficult time on deciding which class to main. With limited play time I have decided to stick it out with one character rather than making alts like I have in the past.

Warriors - I feel like I can’t play them. Knowing when to switch stances is a flaw on my part.

Paladins- Going Horde.

Shaman- Totem management will be a flaw on my part.

Hunter- Is limited bag space a turn off?

Rogue- Seems like my favored option but with so many likely Rogue players will finding a raid be hard for me?

Druid- I’m not very good at managing shapeshifting.

Mage- Seems nice due to food/water freebies and portals. Again, with Mages possibly being popular (like with Rogues) will finding a raid spot be difficult?

Warlock- Limited bag space, like the hunter, seems like a turn off for me.

Priest- I am not a good healer, bahah. Shadow isn’t my forte either.

I am really torn between Rogue or Mage as a main. With Hunter/Lock in the 3 and 4 spot respectively. Please give me your input on limited bag space for those 2 classes!

EDIT The Totem/Stance/and Shapeshifting management is a flaw of mine due to having had a stroke and only have ability to use one hand. Keybinds and my gaming mouse helps my condition but I’ve come to realize certain classes aren’t up my alley.

Having played a Hunter in Vanilla, limited bag space was never really something that ever bothered me. I like to keep my bags empty enough that sacrificing one slot on an ammo bag didn’t make a huge difference, and you don’t have to carry that much pet food around that it’s going to be note worthy for taking up space.

Their rotation also doesn’t involve a lot of buttons. The timing of those buttons are very important to minimize how much Aimed Shot overlaps Auto Shot, but there isn’t a lot of complexity in key binds in raiding(PvP is another story entirely if you want to get into that).

Raid wise I wouldn’t worry about spots on Rogue/Mage. They’re popular because they’re high DPS classes and raids like bringing a pretty good number of them. The raid spot with the biggest worry about getting a spot is if you wanted to tank.

Plus if private servers are any indication, Warriors will be the most saturated class.

I am disabled as well, although in a different way. Personally, I do not find the bag space requirements of the hunter and lock to be all that big of a deal. You start your hunter with a special quiver/ammo pouch and you upgrade the size of it as you level. Locks get soul pouches for their shards. And contrary to legend, hunters don’t really need to bring along 20 stacks of food for their pet. You’ll only need to feed your pet frequently just after you tame it, and as it levels through the Happiness system, the less its feeding requirements are until it reaches Best Friend. At that point, you’ll need to only toss it some food after it dies and you rez it, or maybe if you’ve been sitting idle for an hour.

As for ease of leveling, both locks and hunters can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be. Locks can take on multiple mobs with fear juggling and hunters with ranged/melee weaving (I suck at the latter so I don’t do it).

Both classes can easily solo things that other classes can’t, which for me is another point that far outweighs any perceived problems with bag space. But, I don’t worry about my bags. It’s classic, so like anything else, I just work around it.

Good luck in whatever you decide!

even with limited time so long as you bring your comsumables and join a guild with raid times you can always make on your tight sched, if you can id say roll rogue since that is what you like makes gearing hard but raids take a fair bit of melee

I will be selling tank runs through dungeons on my Druid. Since leveling a Druid is pretty easy, especially compared to Warriors, I suspect there will be very few tanks to get that pre raid BIS and I am planning to take advantage of that

You do what you want

… I’m not sure how to react to that.
