right now im on my(fire) mage (troll)and im doing delves and omg I have not played a mage since WOTLK. so basically im new to a fire mage its awesomeness // love it .. earthcrawler mines tier 4 ..going to do some open world stuff and see but its smooth and nice very easy to pick up and play . so happy
I haven’t had time to really test anything, but I am really looking forward to trying out several specs especially the new UH DK.
I am also firmly in the more =/= better crowd.
I have to chuckle when DH’s weigh in and go, “I don’t know what y’all are complaining about! This is fine!.”
The class that was the literal start of simplified class design.
You have to remember that we are in a bit of a bad place for the moment. But this will only last until Midnight drops and we get the rest of our talents and our Apex talents. They rebalanced everything with having all those talents and Apex, but without them as we are in the pre-patch things feel a bit bad. This is actually pretty normal. During most xpac prepatches we always feel a little underpowered until we are able to fully level up in the new content. It is only temporary.
I was able to remove three bars from my screen because there’s no spells to put in them.
A handful of passive damage effects aren’t fixing this. Most specs are gaining nothing but fluff and fireworks at max level.
Yeah maybe, but think how much easier it will be to play it on a console now. Not to mention it frees up all that space so you can click on the cash shop even easier.
This statement right here should be concerning for you.
If it feels this bad at 80, how in tf are they expecting to recruit new players that will have to level?! That will feel even worse.
I’ve been spending more time on my DK for pre patch so far since I did most of beta testing on priest.
I love what they have done to unholy DK and I may be swapping to it as my main.
The worst one is the Druid. They’ve been screwing over restoration druids since season 3 of dragonflight. They forced us to pick those stupid ugly trees that nobody wanted to pick with the set bonus because if you didn’t pick the trees, your set bonus literally did not work. And the same thing with the hero talents. If you didn’t pick trees, your hero talents were literally half useless. This is not an exaggeration, this is just how blizzard decided to do it.
And then they decided to do a vote that almost nobody got to actually vote on for what gear set was going to be available in season 4 of dragon flight. Where blizzard then doubled down on the set that forces you to pick the trees.
Basically, long story short restoration druids are forced to pick between the hero talents. Literally actually force you to pick the Grove guardians talent, or you pick the really crappy melee DPS off-spec hero talents that I don’t think I’ve ever seen, even one Druid using ever even once…
So now it’s basically been two whole expansions of druids being fort to pick the Grove guardian talent and nothing else. It’s literally to the point where I have to go down half of the left tree on the Restoration talent tree just so I can make sure I can actually use my hero talents. I do not want these trees. I do not know a single Druid who actually has fun summoning the trees. It’s cool, and I don’t want it to go away. I just want the spec to be functional and the hero talents to be functional and not forced me into making a choice of talents that I would never normally pick.
Blizzard has never listened to our feedback. Not once. At least not the people actually playing the classes lol
Glad you’re enjoying it. The theme is cool but our DK in raid last night said he was almost catatonic playing it in raid ![]()
A lot of healers that preferred the status quo, me included, have been saying resto druid is about the only interesting healer left now.
No rest until they give us explosive shot back!!!
Yeah now after they gut it all the other classes lol. And still I have yet to actually talk to or meet any of these druids that actually use the tree ant form for any reason other than the fact that they have to.
That’s kind of my point too, they took the most interesting healer in the game and have done nothing but dump on them for basically 2 years straight. None of the changes that they have made were anything that any of the Druid players asked for
I am so excited to get on my DK and play around! I didn’t have a chance last evening.
My hunter has like 4 buttons now. I want to be able to summon additional pets to fight, and not have them all be passively triggered. I did the VE Demon Hunter unlock quest last night on it, and my favorite character was very “meh.”
You either never have played resto-shaman or you are bad at it, if you think nothing changed.
You have not played much prot if you think that it is the same.
we lost like 4 abilities ![]()
Whether a spec is effective is different from whether it’s fun. BM Hunter dominated last season, but I’d rather watch paint dry. You can look at the spellbook and reasonably infer how the class will play.
You literally lost Surge. Healing Rain is useless for anything not being Totemic. Chainheal lost allmost all interactions and is not worth pressing even in AOE situations. Not to mention the amount of CDs and Deffs that you lost.
Only a person that plays this game in ‘‘story-mode ‘‘ would say its not different as R-shaman.
