Class changes

I was considering creating a balance druid and had heard that you could do it without being required to go Moonkin. However with the recent change to Moonkin itself the,

  • Moonkin Form now also reduces the mana cost of Moonfire by 50% and increases Moonfire periodic damage by 50%. Sunfire also benefits from this change.
  • Moonkins can now cast non-healing Restoration spells without cancelling their shapeshift. This includes: Remove Curse, Remove Poison, Abolish Poison, Innervate, Rebirth, Revive, Mark of the Wild, and Gift of the Wild.

It seems like Moonkin form will now be required to be used if you’re Balance.

Now when Season of Discovery started didn’t they say they couldn’t change talent tree’s or skills because it would directly effect Era?

Correct me if I’m wrong or misunderstanding but this is a direct change to Moonkin form meaning if what they said is true it should effect Era servers as well.

This was their defense for going with runes instead of changing skills or talent trees because it would effect era. Yet this is one of a few other changes that should technically effect Era.

They found a way.

My Shaman in SoD has a Stormstrike that has a 6 second CD and a 61 Mana Cost.

My Shaman in Era has a Stormstrike with 20 Second CD and costs 300 Mana.

Well that’s obvious lol just seems like something they should tell the community since it makes it look well lazy now. The Stormstrike one isn’t from a rune or anything? Sorry don’t know anything about classic Shamans.

they made a new spell/buff that is enabled on sod but not on era. They started thinking outside the box. Whoever told you that you could effectively play balance without being a moonkin should never be listened to again

Actually was a majority of people on the forums saying you could do Balance Resto hybrid.

No, it’s their capstone talent.

Think of a Mortal Strike, but worse in every single way, by a lot.
(Made not so in SoD)

I meant making it a 6sec cool down instead of 20, my bad.

Oh yeh no the only rune to affect Stormstrike is making the offhand also hit when Dual Wielding, using the dual wield rune
