congrats 15 years you learn the abiliti to stick a magic stick in the ground again . Yeah I shaman been my main 15 years and I can’t stand the thought of totems coming back . rather they just not touch the class atm . it’s like were going backwords instead of forward wasnt that BFA problem again>
I agree about totems. At least searing totem. Having any of them be integral to your regular combat is just tedious. But if they slap a 1 minute cooldown on it or something then it’s cool.
I am over the moon to see auras come back though.
Now if they could just confirm 2 handed frost DKs and single minded fury warriors…
If they turn it into a turret then yea. But bringing back searing totem is like just bringing back an auto attack turret : / not really that good. Maybe for elemental/ resto but no I don’t want a killable dot on my enhancement shaman.
my initial reaction upon seeing that was “oh crap” but i almost don’t care because i get my pally back to where he should’ve never changed from. so with good comes bad i guess.
I think pruning is a red herring when it comes to trying to figure out where they went wrong with class design. People noticed they were having less fun in WoD, Legion, or BFA, and blame removed abilities.
In some cases, it is to blame. But look at like, Subtlety. Subtlety didn’t LOSE Shadowdance. Shadowdance just became weaksauce. Or Shadow Priest. Shadow Priest GAINED abilities (Void Form and related powers) but became less fun than it was as a dotting, self-healing monster in Wrath.
I get some people feel that way, but designing around the lowest common denominator isn’t a good method. Personally I’m glad to be getting arcane explosion back. Having instant aoe dmg, no matter how small, is rather useful.
