I suggested to Blizzard in an actual ticket that they implant class changes. I dont like my main class. I barely ever play it. Just logged into it today. I have EXACTLY 20 days, 20 minutes, 20 seconds /played on my warrior for this expac. Not even 500 total /played days on that toon so… yea obviously DONT like playing that toon. I barely ever play it. My other toons do so much more.
And I said to Blizz in my ticket to them that I want the ability to change my class since none of our classes are the way they were when they first began them.
And I said what if we could have just one ONLY one class change per battlenet account that was permanent and could never be undone so only one toon could do it once after we paid for it. I straight up told them NO damage would be done because everyone would think very carefully before doing it if they only had one shot at doing it. And Blizz was all like yea, possibility. Not like boosts where you can boost unlimited number of toons and be on a class you know nothing about… now that causes damage… but this? If it was for making a new main and could never be undone no matter what then people would really think hard before going thru with it.
So NO. Your arguments against it saying “Oh but people will use to this to change to the FoTM every patch” Not if it is only one time. Then if you do change to FoTM you are stuck that way forever. I would resub as well if I could do this.
Blizz was all like
As such, we have no tools or options to change a character’s class or move their progression to another character.
Is that something that could possibly change? Sure, but it would require enough player support to convince the development team to develop a way to change classes
And if every person did it and it was once per account. And it costed $60. And you also got a feat of strength for doing it as well. That could make Blizz 60 million dollars off of this. That is a great idea. Could even tie it in to a prelaunch event for new expac or something if it has to wait to come out. But either way, it would be good and awesome, it would make Blizz money. I buy a band new Alienware computer every 6 months on average now. Dell works with Microsoft so I was just throwing that out there.
I have all the Blizzard games, I really like Blizzard and Micrsoft is an awesome company. I’m not making that up. I use so many Microsoft products too and none of this would be possible without Activision as well. I’ve played so many Activision games over the years that I have lost count. This could actually cause people to resub and bring in money yea. It would be awesome.
Changing my warrior into a paladin
And then the class that I class changed out of, I would eventually have to replace that class.
I have only one option to do that. My ONLY warrior is a level 50. So I would need to pay $60 to boost it up. But… it is also Alliance. I will need to pay to faction change it. But. It is on Illidan Horde now and I deleted all of its gear… that means Im going to have to buy at least 8WoW tokens to get the gold to gear it up. Its also not even on the right account. So I am going to have to PAY to account transfer it. I have too many toons on this account, maxed out, so I am going to have to PAY to transfer a toon off of here to be able to get that toon transferred over here.
Great idea. Please implement. Only got 1 level70… its a pally. Got 4 level 60 pallies I think. Only 1 level 60 warrior. Clearly like paladins better. Many other people have liked classes that are not their main. And yea if people don’t want to buy it, make it come with a Feat of Strength and even a cool pet. A feature for new expac. Great way to start the game. And NO, people would not be switching over to a class they did know how to play, they would be stuck in it forever with no switching back so they would only switch to something they were dedicated to.
