Class Balancing

When do you think we can expect proper class tuning? Should I go level a FOTM class?

Probably never . There really hasn’t been proper class balancing since this game launched

It depends on your standards of “proper”. If by “proper” you mean “perfect”, like the post above me, then you’ll probably never be satisfied.

Otherwise, it’s already started and for how long it will go on, I’d go through patch notes from previous expansions. But basically tuning is an ongoing process because they’re always introducing new content and rewards that bring new problems. Any trinket more interesting than a stat stick, tier sets, legendaries, azerite, corruptions… currently most of those things are not in the game, but there’s a rumor that tier sets might return. If your FOTM class has a weak tier set in the next raid, then you’d probably just wind up hopping again.

Personally, I don’t consider it worthwhile to chase FOTM ever. But it depends somewhat on your in-game goals and how much time you have to put into pursuing them.

P.S. Wait a minute, I typed all this and only then realized this was posted by a death knight? You ARE a FOTM class! Is this a troll thread or what?

Grab a 2h and play UH, you’re now fotm in pve.

9.1, not sooner.

why your weapon so tiny op?

If you’re hoping for anything more than a random 4% or whatever, it’s pretty clear they’ll only do something in 9.1 when they look at the specs people are fleeing.

Just play a Boomkin, it’s a guaranteed spot in any group. Raiding, M+, and PVP. Automatic invite. Plus on the upside, you’ll never get nerfed to the bottom, have AOE caps, or get kicked even if you’re bad. Because your DPS is the easiest rotation / skill set in the game.
