Can anyone else feel it? I feel like we are so close to all classes having at least 2 good specs- and even if the overperformers and underpeformers were only given about a fifth of what they deserve, we’d be in a pretty good place:
Shave away some of assassins ms effect and damage
Tone down disc damage. (or do you want that extra pain supp taken away?)
Give Rsham better anti melee defensives/utility
Beef up boomy a bit
Do whatever the hell they’re doing for rets
Maybe tone down destro a bit now
Frost dk idk
Enhance needs probably the most help- maybe give them unleash water or earthen wall

Yeah I think most of the specs are pretty close. There is few outliers all the time (Ele,Dest,Arms,Sin) but for the most part they are pretty close. That doesn’t mean the meta is in a great state that just means most of the specs are balanced around the same meta.
Frost DK is capable of decent burst, ~100k+ oblits every other global during pillar, the only issue is it’s easily counterable and frost brings less to the team than unholy. As of right now, there is no reason to bring a frost DK over an UHDK unfortunately.
While true, I still think this is the best meta we’ve had in a long time, and am happy to see the game moving this direction.
I think Blizzard is doing a great job. Anyone who comes on these forums crying about imbalance has no concept of just how difficult tuning an MMO is, especially one with the amount of layers WoW has. Some specs can go from fine to broken with very minor adjustments.
Exactly, Frost DK damage is FINE. Pillar is just to easily shut down with disarms being the same CD and turning off 50% of every pillar. Frost also needs more resilience than Unholy since it has to be in melee range to do its damage.
Which is why I’m surprised no one runs the talent that reduces pillar cd. I’d love to know why no one high rated frost runs it.
Ret needs to stay dead, Outlaw doesnt need to be good, rogues have two oppressive specs, until they’re both brought into line outlaw can be mediocre. Enhance buffs worry me, but that’s a me issue.
Boomi does not need buffs. Two boomies in top 10 overall in RSS says enough. I’m not saying they need nerfs either, but they are far from needing any buffs currently. Especially in this meta with so many disc priests sitting root/beam.
Nerf Improved MD and give them another long CD defensive. The prevalence of priests makes bubble bad.
the point of the post was that im not interested in seeing outlaw buffed while the other two specs are dominating the game. sub is one assass nerf away from being the dominant spec.
You misunderstand, I have a bias, that I am well aware of. I would be happy for the spec to remain unplayable for the rest of wow’s lifetime. I dont care what version of the plague it is, it still is the plague.
Good question. Assassination is definitely stronger than ret, cc alone is better, and nearly unavoidable damage in the bleeds is also degenerate, but the support ret paladin brings is also cancer while being a winged death machine. Given this is just my opinion, its probably ret, I’d rather fight an assass rogue than a ret paladin.
I feel like there are some graphs that would show why you shouldnt feel that way. I look at the issue like this, players should be angrier at having a higher % chance of dying by a thousand cuts during a match (rogue), over having a much lower % chance of getting exploded at “random” (its not random) (rets). Plainly, if rets were as good as players make them out to be, they would see more representation in higher brackets/awc.
