Why do you think, Blizz, that so many people left retail for Classic? Not to have you come Blunder-ing in here with this retail drivel.
It was because of the simplicity and relaxation of Classic that I have kept up my interest in the brand, but now its been flushed away.
This is SOD. It isn’t meant to be forever, and should be faster paced than other versions…

If it was classic it wouldn’t be SOD nor would we have runes etc
Yet people try to throw shade and can’t even figure out the obvious.
It’s like everyone thinks this is the end all be all… It’s an experiment and I for one am having a blast with it. It’s not always particularly engaging, but fine… There’s other stuff to play too!
I mean to be fair OP is right. SOD is a stone’s throw away from retail. All they’d have to do is update the character models and animations and we’d be like “oooooh wait. I see now”
They should remove this now and save classic but let everyone keep what they got as is
