So every time I log into my Evoker a cinematic plays. I don’t think it happens on any other character, including the other Evoker I have. The cinematic is the one that starts with Sargeras and Magni. I saw a post on the EU forum where a couple others seem to have this issue.
are you on mac?
Nope, Windows.
I’ve been having this same thing happen to every one of my characters that are level 70 or over the last 3 days. Log in and see the recap cinematic. Log out and back in and the cinematic plays again. A clean reinstall didn’t seem to fix it either.
I am also having the same issue. It’s funny, but it definitely gets tired every single time.
I was getting it everyday since coming back to wow, but today it just stopped playing. I’ve been doing a lot of old content, and was logging out in a bunch of old expantion areas. Maybe that did something.
i get this on every character and it’s really starting to annoy me.
It’s happening to me too on every character, even on my characters that are level 80. It will play the cinematic every time I log in, and then it will re-earn all of my titles. I’ve tried clearing cache and WTF folders, moving all addons to a backup folder, update and repair WoW. Nothing works. I made a support ticket and blizzard responded telling me to check forums. I believe it’s an issue with my characters or accounts syncing to their server. Not sure if an issue like that will ever get fixed unless enough people report it…
I have no idea what this cvar is or what it actually controls, but default is 0 and mines set to 13. Anyone tried changing it in advanced interface options?
Add me to the list. Returned to the game over a week ago and as soon as I hit 70 it plays. EVERY SINGLE TIME. EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER.
Did everything recommended. Disabled all Add-ons. Reset the UI. Renamed the 3 folders. Support told me to do the exact same things I already did. Is support now AI?
I am running on Windows 11. I am going to get the game on my old PC and run it on Windows 10. Confirmed the annoying cinematic runs when I log in on Windows 10 & 11.
Will someone please fix this annoying bug!
I am also getting this same issue. Done everything imaginable. All addons turned off, scan/repair game, completely reinstalled game. None of this has fixed the issue. This wasnt an issue until the most recent update. Submitted a ticket and was told to come submit a bug report. Just want to bump this as an issue that is still on going and annoying the hell out of players.
I am also currently having the same issue.
Guys - I do not know why - but it finally stopped when my Druid just hit level 80. I don’t know if it’s a quest she was on or what. I reported it and argued with the so-called customer service and they said there is nothing more they can do.
I hope they will take the time to analyze it and find out what caused it. I am FINALLY cinematic free! (After 8 level 80s.)
OH - I had the old Timewalking quest and it wouldn’t let me progress. I finally just abandoned the quest. That is some info they can investigate…if they care.
Same here. It’s so annoying! I filled out a bug report in game so hopefully it gets fixed soon.
same.
and guess what? the forums cant figure it out either… thanks blizz dev team
literally scouring google for a fixed, so many people experience this, and no real fix.
this is def a local problem, caused by the server.
the only close answer was the config folder, checking to see if SET, playIntroMovie “11”, is probably written. and thats a fail for me…
freshly back to wow, about to freshly quit over bad coding
This is happening to me on a level 80, just came back to wow - quite frustrating.
This is happening to both me and my husband. We came back to play after about a year away from the game. Only happens once a character hits level 70, doesn’t stop for level 80s. We also get re-awarded some of our titles. Is the common thread here that it is hitting people who have had a long gap in playing?
Happening to me as well. I too have been out of the game for over a couple of years. Im going to try and cancel some quests and log out in another area and back in.
