I was thinking about what Chronowarden might look like if it was available for the Devastation spec, so I tweaked the abilities to reflect it. This is just for fun, so before anyone gets upset that I am asking for changes this is purely thought experiment theorycrafting for entertainment. I neither want or expect them to make this happen.
Chrono Flame:
Living Flame is enhanced with Bronze magic, casting again at 15% effectiveness.
This would allow you to apply 2 stacks of Ruby Embers.
Reverberations:
Eternity Surge deals an additional 30% damage over 8 seconds.
Temporal Burst:
Tip the Scales overloads you with temporal energy, increasing your haste, movement speed, and cooldown recovery rate by 30%, decreasing over 10 seconds.
Threads of Fate:
Casting an Empower spell during Temporal Burst causes your next Shattering Star to critically hit.
Afterimage:
Empower spells grant you a charge of Burnout.
Instant cast Living Flame (Chrono Flame).
Golden Opportunity:
Critical strikes from Disintegrate ticks cause the next tick of damage from Fire Breath to critically strike as well.
Primacy:
For each target affected by your Fire Breath, increase your haste by 1%, up to 6%.
Double-Time:
Your Shattering Star affects 1 additional target.
This would be 4 total with Eternity’s Span.
Temporal Echo:
Your Deep Breath now sends a bronze projection of yourself forward.
You would not move.
This would be on the same node as “Warp.”
What do you think? Does this sound like it would be a fun hero spec to play? I tweaked a few of the values that feel like they would have been a bit too strong for Devastation, and I felt like any of the hero talents that I didn’t mention here were already specialization agnostic so could just keep them as they are.
