Anniversary realms use Classic Era rules.
SoD is a fully different game at this point, the prices and features on SoD are not worth comparing to Era / Anniversary.
If we compare it should cost more on SOD imo.
10G on fresh vanilla is insane.
Nah you can make 10 gold very easy at level cap.
you could do the fights without it. there’s guides on Thotbot about all the fights.
It definitely works a lot better in SoD, the lower price points makes it much more viable to slowly accumulate buffs since you can pop add a new one and reboon.
I think part of it was the fact chronoboon was used at much lower levels in SoD, thanks to phases and leveling raids. But also, yes, SoD characters have much more power, can farm quicker and accumulate gold fast enough to justify a high price, should blizzard wanted to go that route. But, then, they wouldn’t have dropped mount or riding costs, either. SoD prioritized speed and convenience, whereas most classic purists will tell you that inconvenience is fun, actually.
SoD was all about no grind as everything was deemed “seasonal” so why should players need to work for anything?
It’s why player investment means way more on Classic realms compared to SoD.
10g is too cheap. Make it an even 1k
I’m not necessarily arguing their case but the point is kind of sailing over your head.
Typically in Vanilla you’ll want DM, Ony, ZG, Songflower, and maybe Rend if you can swing.
It is very highly unlikely you do all of these in one swing. Ony buffs are typically called out and scheduled, so you can sort of plan your DM Buffs around it to get those booned, but to also have that simultaneously sync up with a Songflower respawn that you can sometimes not be guaranteed to get due to just bad luck, a ZG pop, and a Rend buff which requires some complications, means that you’re typically looking at, minimum, 30-40g every raid to save a proper full set of world buffs. Potentially exponential for the PvP server folks who can’t always avoid getting dispelled.
So it’s not “just” 10g, it adds up very quickly and without GDKP those ain’t small beans.
GDKP doesnt generate gold, it just takes it from some players and gives it to other players.
I didn’t say GDKP generated gold out of nothing. Kind of a weird tangent.
care to explain this? why does it add up slower with GDKP?
So your argument is that someone cannot leave a GDKP with more gold than they entered? That it cannot be used by a player to increase their own personal wealth?
It’s irrelevant that it is at the cost of others wealth (although it doesn’t matter since they’re probably buying gold anyway).
let’s not get carried away. Do you understand the tangent now? because 5 minutes ago you were all confused by it.
No, your initial response is still alarmingly irrelevant. Still trying to figure out why you think it matters where the gold comes from.
I thought you think it matters where it comes from. Somehow GDKP got brought up.
G stands for Gold.
I’m not sure what P stands for since we use gold instead of points but… that’s another topic.
Bruh you are lost lmao.
Chronoboon price is from Era where Nelth tear costs 85,000 gold.
They could just adjust the CD back to an hour, then the frequency/use of it has more weight.
