A lot of rare mobs and vendors were removed with the cataclysm. Ones that meant nothing to the story or overall character progression. With the removal of these seemingly nameless characters, quest rewards, crafting materials, patterns and the like, as well as basic transmogs went with them. Some of these have found their way back into the game thanks to Blizzard adding them to vendors as BoP items but many have not. They made an attempt with the Warlords of Garrison Salvage crates to bring a lot of these back into the game but chose to nerf that half way through the expansion.
Many of these items will never be seen by the average Joe Shmoe. Most if not all of you will have no idea what I’m talking about or have a reason to care. For the collectors and completionists out there, you and I both know there’s no other way to get these items other than paying multiple gold caps. Me and my people would love to see these items return in some form that’s attainable for everyone. The Trading Post is a good start but I don’t think it’ll be used for these kind of tmogs and instead will be used to add in all of the unused models through the years.
Please consider adding a way for us to get these ancient and unique pieces of loot. If you’re interested in what I’m talking about, I’ve gone through and made a list of everything I can find that’s no longer attainable and has a unique color or model not found anywhere else. This list of items is dated and a few pieces have made their way back into the game since its creation, so it’s not perfect.
