Chromie's call to Azeroth's Champions and Creators

Greetings, champions of Azeroth and stewards of our shared legacy,

It’s me, Chromie! Or Chronormu, if you prefer—but I think we’re all friends here, aren’t we? I write to you from a moment outside time, where I often find myself reflecting on the past and pondering the paths yet to be taken. And oh, what a journey it’s been!

20 years—imagine that! Two decades since the gates of Azeroth opened wide, welcoming countless adventurers into a world of endless wonder. I’ve watched you all grow, face impossible odds, and forge stories that resonate across timelines. But even the most enduring tales sometimes need a little… adjustment, don’t they? A tweak here, a nudge there—always for the better.

Let’s Set Azeroth’s Timeline Right
As someone who’s a bit of an expert in correcting temporal hiccups, I can’t help but notice a few wrinkles in the fabric of our shared journey. Take Warsong Gulch, for instance. The skirmishes there are legendary! But those sneaky wall-climbing exploits? Not so much. I’ve peeked at countless timelines, and let me tell you, the spirit of fair competition doesn’t include clambering up terrain in ways the battlefield was never meant to allow. Let’s smooth out that anomaly, shall we?

Harmony Among the Heroes
And then there are the druids. Oh, how I admire their connection to the cycles of life and nature! But it pains me to see them hampered, forced to rely on cumbersome macros just to perform the shifts between forms that should feel as natural as breathing. Back in the Burning Crusade timeline, they discovered this ease, and the world was better for it. Why not let them have that here, too?

And about those specs—the ones that seem to struggle in the shadow of their more powerful peers. I’ve glimpsed timelines where every path, every choice, feels meaningful. And I know we can make this timeline one of those. Strengthening those forgotten builds would be a celebration of inclusion, a way to honor every champion’s effort and dedication.

A Partnership Worth Cherishing
Now, as I step back and let this timeline flow, I want to remind you—this isn’t just about a game. Azeroth is a shared dream, one that has brought joy, friendship, and inspiration to so many.

As you, the developers, celebrate this milestone, I hope you see the players for what they truly are: your greatest collaborators. Just as they honor your creation by returning time and again, so too can you honor their loyalty by making this world even better than they remember.

Chromie pauses, her small frame glowing with a gentle light, her timeless smile brimming with affection. She turns to the horizon, speaking one final thought as she waves her tiny hand.

“Together, we can honor the past and brighten Azeroth’s future—a future where the strength of this world uplifts us all, inspiring joy and unity both here and in the lives we live beyond it.”

Yours across all time,
-Chromie

Oh my, 10 out of 10? For me? That’s incredibly sweet of you, kind champion! I’ll admit, I’ve never quite thought about running for President of Azeroth—time-traveling dragon duties do keep me rather busy, after all. But I promise you, if ever the timelines call for a leader, I’ll make sure every moment is as delightful as you’ve made mine with your kind words.

You, dear friend, are valued not just in this moment, but across all the threads of time. Your courage, your wit, and your warmth leave ripples in every timeline. So here’s to you—the true hero of Azeroth and a cherished part of its story.

Chromie steps back, her golden scales catching the sunlight, a playful smile lingering on her face. She adjusts her hourglass charm, its sands swirling gently, almost as if in tune with her thoughts. Turning to leave, she glances back, her voice warm and brimming with affection.

“You, dear friend, are cherished in every timeline. Your courage and kindness create ripples that echo far beyond what you can see. Stay brave, stay bold, and know that across all of time, you hold a special place in my heart. Until we meet again…perhaps sooner than you think!”

They already fixed a lot of the Druid stuff. Don’t need to build in cancelform macros into all non-shapeshift abilities. Plus since shifting isn’t on the gcd it is even more fluid than in retail.

Not at my computer right not but I believe the only shapeshifting macros I have are for pshift, charge, spamable prowl, bash, and dash. Maybe enrage too.

I don’t mind sharing when I get off from work.

Oh, hello again, dear Druid! You know, I was chatting with a druid just like you—well, not exactly like you; oh wait it was precisely you!—and you mentioned something curious. You said that shifting between forms is already as smooth as a Bronze dragon sliding through timelines. Isn’t that wonderful?

But you know me—I’m a little nosey (but only in the most adorable way, I promise)—so I just have to ask you directly: is it true? Do you no longer need those clunky macros to pop between bear, cat, and all the other wonderful shapes you take? Or is there still a little wiggle room for improvement?

Chromie gives a playful spin, her wings catching the light like tiny prisms. She glances back with a knowing smile, her voice carrying the warmth of someone who truly cares.

“If it’s already silky smooth, then hooray! Nothing makes me happier than seeing harmony in the timeline. But if it’s not quite there yet, don’t you worry. I’ve got a few tricks tucked away in my hourglass. Just a little nudge, a tiny adjustment, and we’ll make sure every form flows like it was meant to.”

Can you elaborate a little more on what macros you are referring to or what you would like to do?

I have bound my F-keys to the stance bar. F1 bear, F2 Aquatic, F3 cat, F4 travel.

If you don’t want to bind the stance bar and want something like claw to shift you into cat form you would need a macro. It would be something like:

#showtooltip Claw
/cast [nostance:3] !Cat Form
/cast Claw

It’s always such a joy to chat with fellow time-travelers about Azeroth, especially when it comes to how our beloved shapeshifters move through time and space!

I do remember when I ventured through the realms of Classic back in 2019, and oh, that shifting issue was so curious. You had to manually shift out of bear form, and then—only THEN—could you shift into cat. Not quite as fluid as later on, huh? It was a bit of a time bump in the flow.

Chromie twirls lightly, her tail flicking in delight, and with a final cheerful wave, Chromie dances off, disappearing into the currents of time, leaving a faint whisper of warmth in the air.

"Remember, dear Druid, time is full of possibilities, and I’ll always be here to help smooth the journey. May your shapeshifting be swift and your tribulations even swifter!"

-Chromie

Nope, not anymore. You can go from one form into another without having to drop form or make cancelform macros.

Oh, thank you so much for taking the time to share that with me! Your kindness is as refreshing as a gentle breeze through Ashenvale’s trees. I can’t wait to experience it myself and see how gracefully time has shaped things!

Chromie lingers a moment, her wings shimmering like tiny suns peeking through the clouds. With a warm smile and a playful twirl, she vanishes into the ether, leaving only a glimmer of golden dust behind.

“Until we meet again, friend—may your journey always flow smoothly!”
