Hi there, my lvl13 warlock can’t complete “the Dark Riders” quest in Chromie Time, because she can’t cast a demonic portal yet and she won’t be able to until lvl49. It cascades into a lot of issues of not having the class hall and so on…
I was so happy to be able to enjoy Legion as it’s the expac I fully missed and I’ve been back this year for the last 6 months of BfA after a major life change.
Check the right hand of the screen, under the quest information that sits there it may have a gateway you can use directly from the quest tracker, that’s how the demonology works when it traversing the fel fire patch that you need to gateway across. I just did it last night thinking the same thing, until I realized the quest provided a demon gateway spell to use.

Eesh, yeah, this is a big goof here. I suppose there had to be some issues popping up from this new leveling system. Submit it as a bug report, and hope blizz fixes it fast, or you can find a workaround.
I know it’s not ideal if you wanted to play Aff, but are you able to abandon quest and choose another weapon? From memory, the Sceptor of Sargeras quest should work fine. I feel like Thal’kiel might need Gateway too, though…

Nevermind, try his answer. This sounds like it’s correct. Also sounds like Blizz should make that more obvious.

Yeah, I got this too but it wasn’t working yesterday night. The spell was “red” when I tried to use it 
Weird, maybe there’s a hidden criteria like where you are standing that may unlock it? Still need to test more to see what exactly is limited for us.
I was wondering if it could be an addon issue, I’m using Elvui and I have the lastest version for 9.0.1 (12.00). I’m getting back there slowly with ground mount as I’ve teleported back to Dalaran yesterday night to store more rested xp.
Edit: it worked with a /reload… damn I was tired yesterday… thanks for the replies
