That would be awesome if Blizzard can make it a bit easier to access the dark portal when you travel to Warlords in Chromie Time.
I know they port you in from Stormwind to the Blasted Lands, but you still have to travel through mobs that are elites for nearly a quarter of the zone while getting stunned for everything that hits you.
I almost always die just getting to the portal, would be nice to just go through normal mobs so you can either fight through them or equip a barding.
That would make sense. Accessing WoD was probably designed with level 90s with flying in mind, they may have forgotten to update this for level 10s with only 160% ground mount speed who have access to chromie time.
They should put the portal right next to the dark portal ASAP! That would be a lot better than having to travel through all those annoying mobs.
I do wait until I hit level 30-40 to do the WOD content, though.
It is Chromie Time that you can do any of the expansions at level 10. If Blizzard wanted us to wait until a higher level, then we shouldn’t have access to that path.
I do enjoy WoD questing, zones are pretty and the rewards are good. Would be shame to level gate that.

OR hear me out, you can SKIP the WoD intro simply by porting to Ashran, and flying to the closest main land flight point to your faction, then running to set up your garrison right away.
I could get behind that.
It would be just like with Legion, where you could skip the Broken Shore, and go straight to New Dalaran.
That’s fair, but at the same time, the WoD intro questline is currently the most efficient xp/hour questline in the game. Also, it’s a big part of the story 
People might just buy powerleveling though if they are in it for efficiency.
If you are in Chromie time I thought the mobs scale to you.
I never noticed because I usually get my garrison after I have already unlocked flight.
The intro quest for Warlords used to port you straight to Khadgar. Did something change? Because I just did it last month with no issue.
Here’s a trick: Don’t talk to the Battle Mage that the quest directs you. There’s another mage there that will teleport you right in front of the Dark Portal. I forget what they’re called.
EDIT: I think I found them - Thrallmar Mage for Horde and Honor Hold Mage for Alliance. Talk to them instead of the Vanguard Battlemage and you’ll get ported to right in front of the Dark Portal. There’s apparently a caveat though, that if you talked to Zidormi to set the Blasted Lands to pre-WOD you’ll actually get teleported to Hellfire Peninsula.
I’ll have to try that next time.

Good point Silky. I’ve been a bit frustrated by that every time I take that choice. At the very least, have a mage there who can teleport us to Khadgar. Given that most people who did it are lower level with far fewer self heals (or none at all) and can’t fly, it would be a decent QoL improvement.
Nope, just tried it on a low level toon. Accepted the quest, spoke to the Battle Mage telling her that Khadgar needed my help and ended up here:
No need. Talk to the Mage that ports you right to Khadgar.
Thrallmar Mage/Honor Hold Mage. Pick up Warlords quest in Chromie Time, talk to said mage, be ported straight to Khadgar. It’s been like that for a very long time.

That’s either the wrong mage or they changed the mage.
Well, maybe a low level character in and check out the portal area. I couldn’t find any other relvant mage npc.
Honestly ive corpse ran rhis part of the intro a bunch never knew about this lol, ill have to check it out thx.
Btw the mage, im on allie, was called a battlemage ever since i started.
