Chromie Time and gear question

So far I am liking Chromie time. There are a few hiccups here and there but I suppose that is to be expected.

I was wondering though, I am leveling through Legion and understand when I hit 50 I will be booted from Chromie time. What happens to the gear? Will it scale? Or will she be a top level character with Legion gear and then need to quest through bfa to get usable equipment?

I’m not actually sure, but from what I understand, you’re supposed to be able to keep the higher level version of the gear that you earned…

You could always test it by getting a piece of gear in a lower level expansion at a higher level, then just turning off chromie time and seeing if the gear is still the same. :stuck_out_tongue:

Looked around and didn’t see anything that mentioned it. Going to have to test it this week.

how does one turn off chromi time? Not a simple switch I see, perhaps dialog, haven’t tested this question yet.

you walk up to her and request to be returned to your present timeline.

I believe everything scales seamlessly. Basically, gear obtained at level 49 will be the same regardless. Gear obtained at 50 will be the same, though BfA will still be end game, so you’d have access to gear beyond catch up and introductory stuff.

…I think that’s how it’d work, but now I’m doubting myself.

Thank you for the help, I"ll try to pay it forward since I probably won’t meet you on game.

HAGD

Nothing happens to gear and level 49 quest rewards in Legion are the same ilvl as level 49 quest rewards in BfA.

Ok. Cool. Thank you.
