Chromie doesn’t have the option to send me back to the present, only has a message saying that “the situation in Icecrown needs you. Without your help, Azeroth’s future is doomed.”
I was in a wrath dungeon, I hit level 50 and got the campaign quest to talk to Magni. However, in Orgrimar I’m stuck in the wrath version with no portal room or heirloom vendors etc. I was able to follow the storyline to get out to Zandalar, but that doesn’t exactly help me, I have to flight paths on this character and i can only get them by either doing it or buying them from the vendor in orgrimar, which isn’t there because it’s phased out.
I’ve relogged, restarted my computer, used the both unstuck features, deleted quests, tried to progress campaign quests line, and run the repair utility. Nothing has helped.
Has anyone figured out a way to fix this?

Chromie is stuck saying the same thing for me on my hunter that I boosted to 110 before prepatch and then leveled to 50 after the patch…i have no heirloom vendors etc in Org but I have the portal room…
So Chromie says “the situation in Icecrown needs you. Without your help, Azeroth’s future is doomed.” on my hunter and demon hunter that are lvl 50 but at least on my DH i have the heirloom vendors etc that i do not have on my hunter…would love to know how to fix this on my hunter so that I have the heirloom vendors etc that I should have on that char.
So i just tested this, lvl 49 priest and chromie works perfectly, ran a dungeon and hit 50 and then chromie says the same as with my other 2 chars so I guess that’s what she says if you are level 50? Still want to find out how to get the heirloom vendors on my hunter since they are still missing though.
Do you have the quest to go to zuldazar or started it but didnt finish up to the point where u open portals.

so, i have the portal room open in zuldazar…but i’m not sure if i’ve progressed it far enough to open it in orgrimar…so not sure…
Try this i did it on the beta to unlock chromie there a npc in gromash hold that was with us during the scenario does they have any extra dialogue.
yeah, i think i see the quest you’re talking about…except im in the wrong timeline of orgrimar and there a shut door to gromash hold and i can’t get in lol…this is rediculous

Haha yeah it is pretty rediculous, I still can’t figure out how to get the heirloom vendors to be in org on my hunter…not the biggest problem but still shouldn’t be a problem at all…i was doing bfa content on the hunter so I should be in the correct timeline but i guess not
same thing for me when i completed legion and hit lvl 50 i cant get the starting questline for boralus when i talk to chromie she says same thing " the situation in icecrown needs you. "

Solved!!!
You need to do the quest “Emissary” and the following quest chain in order to phase into the present and unlock the portal room, it’s really quick and it’ll get you your dalaran hearth stone.
As far as phasing in all the heirloom vendors on top of the gate, idk, and idc. lol.

Is it not possible to switch expansions at max level? I’ve completed the alliance war campaign for BFA and tried to talk to chromie so that I could que for Legion dungeons but chromie says I have to take care of the issue in ice crown? I don’t know how to solve this.

Chromie Time is disabled at level 50.

Can we be a little specific about this? There is very confusing information about this.
Level 49 still allows me to use Chromie for old expansions.
Level 50 will not? At all?
If that is true, I don’t understand why the feature isn’t disabled at 51.
For me, all I had to do was go to the Warchief’s Command Board which doesn’t have a quest icon, and I could choose to start the Burning Legion questline which is what I was looking for.
