I have now killed Scale Belly nearly 150 times (all since pre-patch) in order to get the Chromatic Sword, with not a single one dropping. The drop rate should reportedly be 1-2%, but this mob was notorious for not dropping the sword previously. With the change to increasing timewalking leveling cap from 50 to 60, I fear the item has removed from the loot table once again. Has anyone seen the sword drop since pre-patch??

Up to 175 now. Would love a confirmation of it still dropping.
itâs still there. Iâve had it drop, itâs just very unlikely to as always. Out of all the old world rares, heâs probly got the worst drop rate.
like with a 1% drop rate, thatâs around the same as an average mount drop rate. Invincible took me 625 tries, Iâm close to 300 on the Nighthold ones, Stratholme took round 350. Canât even suggest just buying it cause Iâve seen it go over 6 figures and sold it for nearly that much. Eventually youâll get it, Iâve got 3 in less than 40 kills, just up to RNG Treesus.
Thereâs still this NPC in game? I thought it wasnât even available after Cataclysm any longer? How do I find it?
I finally had the sword drop on attempt 208. Probably have carpal tunnel now for having to spam attack each time someone else popped up during the spawn window since he dies in 1 hit. Not worth the effort, but Iâm glad the nightmare is over.
