Choosing an alt

Leveling a solo priest currently, but I want to have another to break the monotony. I’m between rogue and warrior and want to hear people’s thoughts

When choosing between a rogue or a warrior it really depends on what you plan on doing endgame.

If you choose warrior, you might be expected to tank, and if thats not something you want you will have lots of competition for raid spots. Expect some akward sileneces and stares from other dps when your searching for tanks for dungeon groups.

Honestly aside from tanking it just comes down to which you find funner to play.

Personally i mained priest as well, when it comes to my alt im going to choose something thats great at farming gold and soloing. Most likely hunter or mage.

Warriors have literally nothing special about them besides Prot tanking until level 60 with gear, they become dps gods.

Rogues have much more utility and the added benefit of lockpicking and stealth. And, Energy is a more sustainable resource compared to Rage.

The drawback to Rogue is the availability of weapons, you’ll have to compete for 1 hand swords, and daggers are not as widely available.

Of those options, I’d choose rogue. Stealth and pick pocketing will net you some good money as you progress, as well as being able to open lockboxes

The reason why I play druid. DPS feral is sort of weak, but a good feral is god tier. Imagine this, tank pulls most of SM Cath accident, I toss dots on the tank, I get aggro and bear form to DPS. Adds are killing everyone and the tank can’t manage them all, healer dies. Boom my druid brezes the healer and pops my big aoe heal tranq, afterwards I switch back to tank and use my big aoe 10min CD taunt to regroup the adds. We kill them all. Druids are masters of everything and most underated spec of all time.

Pick rogue and instantly look 100% cooler

Both classes have a high skill cap - sure you can smack some high numbers with decent gear but it will be easy to distinguish the good players from the bad.

I would pick Rogue because of the mobility and you decide your fights.

If u pick warrior and decide to tank, you can find a group for any dungeon u want anytime you want. U can take all the mail/plate gear.

Warrior is better on horde cause pallys don’t take ur plate.

I think you should make both. There’s plenty of time.

You’re right about time. There’s always time to do both. I have alts already for both, but with the limited time a week I have I can really only focus on one at a time for now

Feral is not bad in classic that is a giant misconception. They’re really really good in pvp in the right hands. Bar none best flag runner and ridiculous in world pvp.

Sure you may not top dps meters in raids but who cares? Pve is checkers in classic.

Warrior.

Playing priest and warrior teaches you both sides of the dynamic, and you’ll probably learn a new perspective on priest by trying to tank.

Rogues are cool. Awesome fun in wpvp.

Both are a challenge on the psyche to solo according to most people, but there is only one way to find out!

:shield::dagger:

if you have the coin to upgrade weapon every 5 or so levels warrior is very little down time

I’ll probably go mage for an alt.

Do you have any desire to tank? Guilds and pugs will have them for raids though. Rogues are shockingly rare apparently.
