My d&d main was a lich.
My d2 main was a necromancer.
My WoW mains are typically casters nowadays.
Arthas is my favorite villain.
So obviously, I’m going to to be a Kyrian.
Necro all the way.

Being half-demon, being rejected by elven society despite her sacrifice, my main has been seeking inner peace. One means to this end has been through meditation, which she learned from my first main - a monk. But more may be needed.
Seems to me the logical choice for her would be the Night Fae. The forest is a natural for a night elf, and Ardenweald seems the best place for spiritual cleansing and rebirth.
I haven’t voted, as I haven’t decided.
It seems to be an easy choice as a DK. But I’m not sold on the DK should be a necrolord thing.
The night fae area looks like it will be amazing! The armor that was previewed at BlizzCon is not anything I would put on my DK though.
The coffin back tmog would be amazing to have!! I’m assuming that’s part of Venthyr. The Night Fae skill would be my first choice between all the covenants.
I think for me though it will really come down to which new tools I like the best. Also if they have mounts or pets, which of those I can’t live with out.
Going to pass on that in favor of the expansion with a new class and more pirate transmog, and less Shadowbringers.
EDIT: Alright, tell you what, if there’s an opprotunity to pick up those High res pirate hat models that were datamined in February 2018, in wherever it is we meet up with Kael’thas and the prideful arrogant sorts, Ill join the Venethir or whoever.
I don’t think Blizzard understand it either. It is all idea’s and concepts at this point. They have a general idea of how they want things to work. Can they get there? That is what we have to wait on. As far as choice. We know for most of us unless it is about a power gain that they are trying to avoid it is going to be about the cosmetic rewards and what fits our class better and looks good.
Lucky for us a few classes could go a few ways but some I would say are a visual customization lock.
Night Fae becuase I’m a Druid, and I want those forms.
This is going to be the norm which is why the covenants should be purely aesthetic.
As for now whatever gives the best dps on the main and whatever looks the best on my alts. Like druid alt gets night fae etc.
Oof, hard decision. Where do I even begin, I mean yikes!
The Kyrian covenant in Bastion has the Val’kyr and awesome looking gear that associates to the likes of that aesthetic so I’m very keen to see more into that.
The Necrolords are somewhat intriguing but it doesn’t look very homely, I mean staying there as a home - let alone an afterlife would be somewhat gruesome but I’ll suppose I’d see more when I play throughout the area.
The Night Fae look awe breathtaking & amazing – I love them moreso given that they can play a major role in allowing the eternal creatures to be reborn back into the world of the living (Such as Wild Gods & Loa).
The Venthyr though, ooooooof – I mean Vampires!? Gothic architecture? Comfortable aesthetics all around – Makes you very intrigued to dive deeper into their corridors, secrets and cultures surroundings. But what placed the icing on the cake for me towards that place though, was that the fallen Kael’Thas Sunstrider is an example soul to this realm of the Shadowlands – For that alone I may consider diving into pledging allegiance to assisting The Realm of Redemption.
(And I swear, if Edwin Valncleef - My favourite lore character, is there – I’ll be jumping on that band-wagon faster than a Goblin’s Nitro-Fuelled-Rocket from Area 52).
It was hot and I was in Goldshire reliving my Classic days earlier, but I got hit with a Hammer of Justice by a male human Paladin when one of the villagers said “Goibon uden lo” which I must assume to be an incantation for some form of a sleeping spell. I woke up in the canals next to a Barbie Doll that was similarly attired. -shrug- I just assume it was the standard Male Human Paladin greeting.
What ever happened to warlock you?
lolz@how little people are interested in the Kyrian.
Nobody wants to be the good guys these days…
Why choose one until we know which one will sim best, which will be nerfed first or buffed first. I am going to wait until after the first patch to see how blizzard will change them.
Depends on class abilities 100%. Not going to gimp my guild in raids because of aesthetics or lore.
Release more info then people can decide.
Oh she’s still around. I could never delete it, since it was my second character and all that. Right now I’m playing a non-Elf Lock actually which is shaping up nicely. But I needed a change and decided to play my Priest a little for the next patch and the anniversary. Got some friends who came back, and we’re probably going to do AV. This means I’ll be doing the “You must live Timmy!” shtick while a couple suicide charge the Alliance.
Granted, I think most people know at this point that I’m not wild about Shadow’s state, but right now I have a itch for some Holy Priest play. Thus the big question that’ll decide if I stay this, or return to Lock (or Mage since I’m maintaining a 120 in reserves if both classes get mashed) is if Shadow is still a vassal of Lord Blargington come Shadowlands.
Really hoping Holinka drops Voidform like a defective vaping pen.
get out of my coven you plebs.
Necrolord all the way. I just always loved the Scourge, and dead things are awesome.
I guess ill give a vote when i know which covenant gives me the best DPS.
Having the attitude of going for a 1-2% increase on damage is lame. Have fun with this opportunity gents!
You know that is not the case of anyone that does end game content, pvp or M+. Just wait until the first patch, then choose the one that is top dps/hps.
I HOPE I can actually pick my favorite covenant without gimping my dps or the expac is going to be super sad times for a min/maxer who really would still appreciate the aesthetic and optional mogs and things. But at the end of the day I’ll not trade 2%+ dps for my favorite covenant… and yea; I’ll be salty about being pigeonholed. Very worried about this one tbh
