Also you don’t really want to craft a weapon because being three ilvl down in a weapon slot is not ideal.
I guarantee prot paladins do not want to be using a 636 shield instead of a 639.

No I understood what you meant. Would still have a chance to be all useless gear, but at a 50k cost.
And 3 first faction also sells veteran tier slot armor that you can quickly catalyst for a very early tier bonus.
Also crafting should be a supplement to, not instead of proper progression like how it currently is setup.
You can technically up the rate to 1 item per week, since you can buy a fragment with the tokens to go with the weekly fragment.

Vault is bad on purpose to incite players to buy tokens to reroll.
Right now the vault is just rng, if you add gold to reroll it’ll turn into gambling.
Hero to Myth is perfectly fine, crafted fills the gap in between.
In fact I would love the crafted items to be 6 ilvls lower than max Myth instead of 3.
Mythic as it name states, should be the most noticeable upgrade in each slot a player can equip and farming 8’s all day does not equate to the difficulty / reward ratio a crafted to myth item.

Statistically you’d have better than 50% odds of getting something you wanted, being able to reroll though
It feels like this community is used to price tags now. People don’t know the word no, so the community pays for boosts like mad already.
Gear crafting was the next logical step to make feel mandatory since p2w boosting is already pervasive.
Crafted gear is literally better value now than it was in DF.
It’s 17 ilvl of upgrades for 90 crests, compared to DFs 10 ilvl of upgrades for 60.
If it was any better value crafting would just be outright more efficient than upgrading items.
Yep. Crafting SAVES YOU crests. It’s a huge bargain.
It doesn’t quite save you crests at gilded. It costs 15 more than the equivalent upgrade track. But it doesn’t require you to have an item in the first place so that’s the trade off.
For rings (With the bug) and some specific weapon situations it can save you crests though that’s definitely an edge case.
As a guy with a 639 weapon in his inventory. It sims worse than my crafted 2 hander and even after recrafting everything with the Crit embellishments it still sims lower than 636 crafted.
3 iLvls doesn’t mean anything, seriously. You’re looking at less than 1% dps upgrades from 636-639.
So craft.
