Now I’ve already made the decision that for me it’s a no brainer that I choose money (covering an extra shift on Sunday) over joining my guild on another titillating romp through BDA (probably going to waste 2 hours wiping on normal Conclave before we move onto the next boss we’ll wipe on…). But I’m curious, which would you choose?
Depends on the work, honestly.
I am retired so it really doesn’t really affect me, I rather pound my head on Conclave,(which we are atm) with my guild mates and friends for a couple nights a week.
Sitting and staring at Twitter/emails, while posting on GD forums. Maybe something comes up with regards to company travelers/sites that you have to send an email to a higher up about, but it’s dead, dead, dead on Sunday. Haven’t gotten a hotspot yet so I can’t play way…otherwise…
Work, raiding would be rock bottom of my prioritory list. I like fun constructive stuff too much these days.
Oh, then definitely yes. Chill desk job work and fifty bucks an hour? Yeah, I’d burn a Sunday that way.
Take the cash
You mean pay 400 bucks for a carry instead of running it yourself?
I think he is implying that he would rather work and make money vs raiding for 2 hours
I don’t pay for carries. Nope, never will. If I can’t get AoTC because of bad luck, bad groups, way too much OT at work, then so be it. It’s not the end all to me. I achieve things on my own, struggling through and all if needbe.
Then what do you mean pay 400 bucks?
Geeze you make the equivalent of 50$ an hour? That’s crazy lol
I’m assuming that’s double-time for OT. So probably 25/hr normally.
OT rate. I also work in Silicon Valley, so yeah…
People wipe on normal raids? lol
I make 52.50 on OT and I’m not in Silicon Valley.
But me, I will take $$$ over a game anyday.
$33/hr median pay for Intelligence Analyst
We can’t all be leet like you.
Ah, so time-and-a-half for OT, then? That’s kind of a bummer. I get double-time for it.
I’m a contractor through a private security contractor, so yeah. Trying to go in-house, but that’s an uphill battle. I’m looking into getting my cyber-security certifications, but there is potential for what I do to turn into a viable career, so I’m just holding out for a little longer before I start advancing my education.
