Blizzard can you please region lock servers? Im tired of seeing dwarf hunters and gnome mages with chinese names botting it up in every zone.

The amount of hunters with chinese named boar pets on my server is comical.
I figured out you can kill their pet then kill them. When they come back to res their pet just keep the pet in combat and the bot will get stuck on feed pet loop until they use up all their food and the script tells them to run town.

VPN connection plus connection to the NA REgion from Asia Major is going to be a brutal connection.

Blizzard issues 2week bans for trying to connect using known VPNs on d2.
They could do it for WoW too but the backlash would be incredible
Good point. Disable VPN/Proxy access to the server and it’s basically the same as region locking China.

VPNs are an important part of internet security. Disabling them is silly.
The botting situation is also silly. You want something that works you get collateral damage.

If you want something that works, you hire GMs who wield the Ban Hammer like something out of the Old Testament.
Trying to ban VPNs is a minor inconvenience and accomplishes nothing, except to annoy rule abiding players who use it as part of their security. Bots just set up another unbanned vpn.
Worked well for Kronos. This isn’t a hypothetical , we have a real world example of it working.
Although I’m not opposed to GM’s splitting some wigs. Either solution would be great.

Then we’re not talking about you or those with the Chinese localization of the game client. We are talking about specifically botters and the vast number of Chinese Botters who are blatantly flooding the game on all NA servers.
