Hello team, I’m looking for a weakaura that shows when Chill Streak is available and my target is within 6 yards of another target for it to bounce. Does anyone know how to go about making this and can share? Thanks.

just use big debuffs so you can see the leg sweep or chaos nova
Anything else and you’re doing it wrong

Targets can be further than 6 yards apart from chaos nova and I’d rather not be guessing distance anyways on the most important spell in my toolkit

I’ll go back to spamming necrotic when I can find a weapon but I still need this for taking CNS in PvE
The last I checked they purposely broke coordinates addons in raids and arena so that you can’t tell distances. This was part of the overall strategy to make it so that world first raiding wasn’t solely determined by who could code up an addon faster.
However, people have found certain ways around this:
I have created a weak aura that displays healer in a certain range from you, and in what range it is. The problem is, range detection from Lua interface is not possible anymore. Dbm and bigwigs (and my weak aura as well) use a trick to detect range. With the Lua interface it is possible to check whether a specific item or spell is in range to cast it on a target. So you can use different items or spell with different ranges to check if this player is in range 40yds for example.
That’s also the reason why big wigs and dbm can’t do range 6 and do then range 5 instead or range 8 because there is no item in the game that has range 6.
You might want check the weakaura. It’s on wago and is called healer diatance. Which in the current version only shows how far the HEALERS in your raid are away from you, (cause iam rogue and needed that information for rbg or eonar). You can easily adapt it so you can show tanks or dds as well. I posted the code only as well, if you want to build your own weakaura. There is also a list oft items with all existing ranges.

Using the trick that they’re using wouldn’t be sufficient for your purposes, unless you did the trivial case of checking that 2 players were both within a 3m radius of you.

The point is that Blizzard actively discourages the type of addon you’re trying to make, and anything you do will ultimately have to be a hack.
I have my own coordinates addon that I use personally, and I can tell you with certainly that it only works in open world. I have to check to see if I’m in a pvp map and return null coordinates in order to not get lua errors.
Post in the UI forums, there are plenty of people there who know what they’re doing.
How about just looking at your ui and the game.
Why do people keep giving these crap responses? Why would I want to guess whiffing my entire burst if they’re slightly too far apart. 6 yards is not a big distance and at low gear levels if I miss it at all the game is over.
Well I can understand the whole notify when Chill streak is active thing and that’s easy but the reason people are responding the way they are is because you are looking to automate/dumb down something so it’s almost too easy.
Just check up on wago see if there is WA that can come close to what you want…

K 6 yards is 1 yard more than 5 yards… thats melee range. So, look at your char. Look at their chars. Press the button. Stop being dumb. Fk im tilted. Thats what seperates good dks from bad ones. Stop trying to reduce skillcaps. Stop trying to make the easiest class even easier. Just stop being bad

Chill Streak is off of enemy target to enemy target, not me. This doesn’t help and the purpose of weakauras is to optimize. I don’t care if you’re tilted btw. . I’m looking for a tool and you’re screeching over nothing.
