Chill Streak fizzles if new bounce target dies or becomes untargetable during bounce

Been messing with my DK playing Frost with the Amirdrassil 4-piece bonus, and I’m noticing that I don’t always get the 5 stacks of the set bonus buff because Chill Streak is fizzling. This seems to occur if the bounce chooses a target that then dies or becomes untargetable before the projectile hits. Examples include: Tindral roots, Fyrakk spirits, Fyrakk finishing his Incarnate casts throughout his fight.

One could say work around it by not casting the ability if any of these things is about to happen, but we don’t have control over what other players are doing/bursting in other scenarios such as M+ where a trash pack add might die during a bounce. The ability and bonus are designed to be cast on cooldown and it’d be nice if the DK always got the full benefit of the bonus like they should.

Another fun update here, if Chill Streak lands the killing blow on a target then it may also fizzle. Witnessed it jump to a critter nearby a world trash mob in Maldraxxus and the spell failed to jump again after killing it.

I have also experienced this and im pretty sure it is easy to replicate. I don’t understand why it wouldnt then bounce back to me or a new target. It makes taking enduring chill feal worse to take since if CS bounces to a target and kills it you get no value. It feels pretty bad on a class who’s cleave is already so gated that another AOE ability can just stop working. ESPECIALLY since its the tier set bonus.
