Subway has terrible subs though compared to a lot of other sub places. Jersey Mikes is my current favorite if I can find one. Any local deli can be good too.

I heart my local subway because they call me the pickle lady.

Their pickles are the best!

Quiznos used to be so good. Back when they, you know, existed outside of Denver.

That is the problem, Blizzard was not doing that. They were IRL boosting friends and people who participated in the fratboy culture and abuse.

Mike’s Way sauce thing is so good.

Dare I say ā€˜cult’.
I’m not sure what else to call this mess of people who are falling for conspiracy theories, believing that white men are being oppressed, etc.

Jersey Mike’s is a million times better than Subway. In fact, I just had Jersey Mike’s a few days ago. Their Italian sub so so good.

I always get extra pickles and jalapenos on my Subway sandwiches.

Most political ideologies, that includes Conservatism and Progressivism, seem very cultish.

You mean you don’t like the opinions of 9 year olds or 80 year olds?

Not relevant to the thread, but I kind of love when you become a restaurant regular and they greet you warmly and it kind of feels like a sort of…second family? Obviously not that far, but kind of that feeling. The Mexican place I order from knows me very well and has left very kind messages on my deliveries.

That’s when I never go back to a restaurant. Ever. I’d rather die than think that people at restaurants remember me and know my order.

It gives me social anxiety hives.

They don’t need a chief officer to break up frat parties in hiring, you get an HR department that does it’s job properly and doesn’t work directly with the teams they are hiring people in to. It also isn’t right to call the rot coming out of a subway subs.

I enjoy familiarity as well. It makes the experience so much better.

I’m really fond of Togos, but for some reason it’s like they dump half a cup of water on the bread out here. It’s always SOGGY and compressed, I don’t get it. Subway is okayish in a pinch, Potbelly is pretty good, I really miss Boston Market since moving away from an area that had them, and I really loved a chain called Which Wich, but they likewise don’t have them near where I am now.

I have pretty major anxiety too. I find it helpful if they remember me so I don’t have to talk or interact. They just ask me if I want the usual and I nod. I went to a store today and a staff member saw me before I got inside, ran back in with my order and brought it to the car. I said all of 4 words I think. Two being ā€œthank youā€

Funny I have worked in tech with 29 something’s until a few years ago. Now I work with 17 - 20 year olds daily. Even helped 6 kids now between 25 and 40 figure the world out despite all their individual challenges the same actions usually fixed their various problems

Btw been using variations of the internet since the 80 s and cable Internet since the mid 90s. Haven’t used cash since the 90s either….

Everyone thinks the world is completely different when a lot of times the changes are very minor, especially when you have the experience to actually see things happen and just just speculate on what you believe or what someone else tells you is happening.

Prob not to recommend meds but my doc prescribed klonopin as an as needed medicine for anxiety when my ptsd gets triggered. 1 helps and I am a big man 6’3 and 280 lbs. lasts 8 hours too. Be careful asking your doc though because it is addictive - it’s why I only take 1 in extreme circumstances

An old place I used to go to when I was still spending time out and about had a spot just for me and would bring out my usual meal before I even asked. And as someone who rarely if ever changes her orders, it made me very happy. Didn’t have to say much and got to just chill out.

I’ve recently been going out more and this breakfast place downtown has this really friendly vibe and the patrons all seem to be regulars because they’re all just chatting away together. I don’t know if it’s because I grew up in suburbia Hell where I rarely saw the same people because the schools stretched out over many districts or not but the small town vibe kind of resonates with me.
