hello, I’m playing Cata Classic from the West Coast in WA state, I just recently xferred to Benediction and my ping is 60-64… Now, I’m aware that Benediction is located in Chicago, but so are the League of Legends NA servers, however on League I get 45 ping.
While using Exitlag, my ping on Benediction drops all the way down to 43(!), and while using Exitlag on League of Legends my ping also drops to 43, telling me that when the routing is proper to Chicago on these games, 43 is the lowest I can get and tells me that these game servers are identical.
Now, is this massive difference in Ping baseline w/o Exitlag (60-64 Bene vs. 45 LoL) an issue with my ISP’s ability to route to the Blizzard Chicago server vs. the LoL Chicago server? How could that be considering they’re relatively close? Any knowledgeable responses are appreciated as I’d like to better understand it.
