Chi Burst and Chi Wave: do you bother picking them?

Their numbers are so damn low.
I don’t pick any of them in all 3 specs. You essentialy change your rotation for a minimal pump in numbers (assuming perfect usage). Does’nt worth the effort IMO.

Thoughts?

Outside of Chi Burst building chi for Windwalker, no I don’t. They are pretty much just flavor. That whole talent row is embarrassing.

Situationally I might
BRM: Burst if I know a fight is going to put my allies opposite of the boss constantly where it will hit them or if it has stacked adds.
WW: Unlikely outside of M+ maybe burst.
MW: Burst is usually default if I’m running raid with upwelling, dungeons likely more to be the ENVm one.

I think chi wave is under appreciated as a soloing/leveling talent. The whole row could use some love.

I think the issue is outside of MW (which isn’t great for leveling) Eye of the Tiger is usually better soloing or leveling outside of single target set ups. It’s using up a GCD that in larger pulls doesn’t do a lot overall.

no, pick eye of the tiger all the time every time.

I miss zen walk.

I pick Chi Wave for leveling simply to pull something far away and keep moving to my other target. I just treat it as a pull. I really don’t get why the numbers are so low on this tree… most unsatisfying talent pick ever.

I agree that the whole row could be better. I always go Chi Wave. I don’t like Chi Burst because it has a cast time and you have to aim it. Eye of the Tiger is just super low numbers. At least with Chi Wave it’s instant, I can use it to pull, and I have a chance to get a bit of burst healing from multiple bounces and Celestial Fortune procs on each bounce.

It’s nothing ground breaking. But for me, Chi Wave is the one that sucks the least for how I play.

Chi Burst feels good to use to me for some reason. But Chi Wave is definitely better. I do wish we had more chi in our attacks though. Like if we got combo strikes to max stacks our fists or attacks would have chi infused effects to their animations.

Less animals doing our damage, more chi infusing us. Why I always liked Serenity over SEF, felt more monkish.

I always pick Chi Wave, as having extra buttons to press helps fill in those times when you don’t have anything else to click, and already used blackout kick once.

Chi burst should have chance to be insta casted when using blackout kick
