So it was been since Legion that I have not gotten mythic rewards, so I am new. I open my vault on My Havoc Demon Hunter found out I got a chest piece with avoidence on it? clicked it clicked the blue button with the Token of Merits and it said are you sure you want to do this? I said welp that is strange and clicked yes anyway no chest piece in bag?
if you clicked the tokens of merit and then clicked Yes, then it gave you the tokens of merit instead of the chest piece…
you can either choose a piece of gear or tokens of merit, you can’t get both.

Why would Bliz ever do that lol. Wow that is really really dumb. I mean Can’t say what i did was not dumb but to say you get these crappy tokens and no loot? Wow bliz wow.
That’s the problem with “Are you sure” prompts… if it doesnt restate what you are doing, its pointless. the prompt should be “Are you sure you want to forgo the gear choices and instead receive two tokens of merit”

Because sometimes none of the gear pieces are upgrades, so you want to take the tokens instead.

well, the tokens are used for putting sockets into your gear. they are for people who are already ilvl capped

Nope. No. We covered this. You goofed. Own it. Do better next time. Stop blaming other people. Opening the great vault and selecting a reward is pretty darn straightforward. If you screwed up, it’s ok, we’re all human. What’s not ok is playing the blame game.

Tokens aren’t crappy. They get you gem sockets.

They should give you the loot you earned. What did you not read I said I was new, I said that it was strange it would give me a waring msg, but I though ah Blizzard would not mess with your loot like that Turned out i was wrong. They gave you the choice of the loot or the tokens. You chose the tokens. It’s not dumb. Choices are great. I’m sorry you accidentally chose the wrong one.

I remember that epic ring you could get from outside Kara in BC, I also remember messing up and selecting the wrong one!
Apparently quite a few people did the same and they eventually added a way to switch them out, but man I was mad at myself for messing up.
I have since spent a little more time in selecting my rewards.
Always hurts the 1st time, but you’ll bounce back, it’s not important man, it’s game loot at the start of an xpac, you’ll move on very quickly.
