Nah

walk one step forward, one step backwards (you must use the Shift key), then turn around three times counter-clockwise, then jump backwards

Cheating in any aspect of life…
delusional.

Wow… Not a single jump in that whole thing.

Maybe, but also pretty successful for a lot of people.

To use an old phrase, “If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying”

Ah, I vaguely remember this being a wonderous cheat of culture. I shall boot up the game and do it real quick so that I may feast my eyes upon - KABOOM

Anyway, I only cheat under very specific circumstances, and always only while in singleplayer. Well, almost always, but I’ll get to that.

For example, games like Dark Souls, I ain’t cheating, no way. The challenge is the fun in those games.

But something like Stardew Valley? I already played it legit multiple times. I already went through with manually loading and unloading all the kegs and furnaces and crab pots and such. I already did 100+ floors of Skull Cavern many times. I already achieved perfection. You damn well bet I’ll install mods like Automate, Skull Cavern Elevator, as well as things like Stardew Valley Expanded, Winter Crops and Ridgeside Village to expand my experience, so that I can just have a nice chill game while still feeding my need to minmax. I’ve never installed the Tractor, though, just so I can keep some energy related stress.

I have used cheats in multiplayer in the past, but I actually used them just to combat cheats. I recall I had a guild in Diablo called PKK, dedicated to killing player killers. Enjoy a nice online game of Diablo, but the moment a cheating PKer joined our game, the cheats got turned on. I can cheat better!

Likewise I used to play Netstorm online a lot, and whenever I had a game with someone blatantly cheating with infinite resources, I’d turn mine on, beeline straight to him, try to protect the poor victim of his cheats, and wipe him out of the game, before leaving myself to make it fair for the others.

Those were fun times…

Blasphemy.

(How did this thread derail so quickly? wtf?)

There seems to be no end to the videos of people getting exposed for cheating as they try to break in to the streamer/esports scenes. I’m sure some are getting away with it but it doesn’t appear to last for long.

Yeah, but the post I replied to was about any aspect of life.

Gaming seems like it’d be one of the harder ones to pull of id think.

Oh, true then. That old cope that “crime doesn’t pay” hasn’t aged well in reality.

One word. :grinning:

Whoa Doja! You just made the longest word in history! Congrats! :slightly_smiling_face:

How does one actually cheat anyway?
