Ever since the launch of 10.1, I’ve been experiencing a semmingly random issue where my character gets stuck moving backwards. A couple of my family members are having the same issue.
I primarily move forward by holding down my left and right mouse buttons simultaneously, and I move backwards by pressing down on my mouse wheel. Using some combination of keys while pressing both mouse buttons randomly causes me to start moving backwards. When this happens, if I hit Autorun (either using my Razer gamepad or hitting Numlock on my keyboard), I walk backwards. If I hold both mouse buttons, I walk backwards. I can temporarily stop moving backwards by holding both mouse buttons and pressing Autorun at the same time but this doesn’t clear the issue. The next time I try to move forward or Autorun, I just start going backwards again. The only thing that clears it is windowing out of WoW, even for a couple seconds, but it inevitably starts happening again before too long.
I use a wireless Redragon Sniper Pro mouse, Redragon wired mechanical keyboard, and a Razer Tartarus gamepad. I really doubt it is a hardware issue because the problem manifests itself on all three devices: when I press hold the left and right mouse buttons; when I hit the Autorun (Numlock) keybind on the gamepad; when I hit Numlock on my keyboard.
Please help! This is EXTREMELY frustrating and it is making it nearly impossible to play!
