Ever since the new patch, the text in my chat window has been gigantic. I tried updating the “New” Interface → Text Scale option to “Small”, but no matter what value I set in this dropdown nothing ever seems to change anywhere on the UI. I have disabled addons as well but no difference. Anyone else having this issue? The text is so big it kinda gives me a hadache

This happened on a few of my alts. Right-click the chat window tab (usually General) and look for font size. Several of my alts had 18-sized font instead of 14.

Yes. Just logged in and the font is WAY TOO BIG! I tried changing it to small also with no luck. 
It’s a new accessibility option. Edit, because apparently it’s not working for everyone.
Yeah, you have to right-click the chat tab to edit the font size, since for some reason the patch changed it from 14 to 18. It’s not a scaling thing, it’s just the font size being changed.

Two separate things. There may be a new option in the game settings, but in addition to that, the default font size for chat text was changed from 14 to 18. That’s what’s throwing people like the ones in this thread off, separate from the new option that’s been added.
Although looking at it for myself, that option doesn’t even seem to affect the chat box so you’d still have to change the font size anyway.

Odd. I changed the new accessibility option and my chat text went back to its normal size.
Wonder what’s messed up with it.
All of my toons has big text right click change font to whatever it was before. Text size option did nothing.
It depends on the toon. One it’s normal and another it’s huge. Went to options to fix it to Small size, and did nothing.
It’s not offending to the eye or anything just jarring and buggy. My alts all use an edit mode layout I made for them six months ago, should all react the same to changes like this.
I guess the new accessibility option is borked. Did you try to right click the chat tab and change the font? That seemed to work for some others.
I haven’t been back in game since last night will try it. I’m still reorganizing bank and moving at snail’s pace this season. 
I have so many characters who have a clusterfudge in their bank. 
I may get lazy and just use Baganator category display.
