Pretty much every setting and UI change I make saves but for some reason the chat box never saves when I adjust it in edit mode. I log out and log back in and it is always back to its default state. It saves the tabs and settings, but the physical size and shape always resets. Anyone else having this issue?

BUMP! Devs, fix this it’s annoying AF. I have this problem on both of my accounts. With or without addons installed. The chat panel always resets when I log out of the character.

oh wow I though this was juse a UI i was using, yes its very annoying to constantly keep checking it back to the font size and stuff every single time
My fix for this… I use an addon called edit mode expanded.
It lets you move your micro bar, bags, and other things you can’t move.
It stopped the setting errors from happening for me, and I got to move other things as well lol.
Because you are essentially using a stealth /reload
I’m still having the same problem.
I really wish they would fix this annoying bug

Oddly enough, a couple hours ago I found on 1 level 1 bank alt I have that the chat box stays where I set it to. So, I saved the UI on him with a new name, then shared it to my 2nd account. It worked. Idk why it lets the 1 level 1 character save the UI change but it does. Maybe that info will help someone else.

A bunch of friends on one of my communities came back for DF and I have to constantly add the channel to chat when I log in, otherwise I can’t see the conversation and miss the calls for dungeon groups.
Aaaand, now that character is bugging too and the chatbox isnt staying where I moved it. Sigh.
This really needs to be fixed.

My SO still having this problem. My UI always starts out messed up but clicking on edit mode puts things back in their proper place at least.

i have the same issue. every time i start the game the chat is window is very small. smaller than edit mode even lets you make it. i tried deleting my cache, interface, and wtf folders. that didnt fix it. i decided to delete the entire game and all related files then reinstall. still didnt fix it somehow. i am so confused how this is possible
