Since prepatch. My whispers are in different window then general window. i have to reset the setting each time i log on. I also can’t preview an item in chat window. when you used to be able to ctrl or shift click the item or quests in the general chat box. I can no longer whisper a guiildie in the chat box either.

To return your ability to click on links in the chat window, try this:
- Hover your mouse over the chat box until you’re able to see the “General” tab
- Right-click the General tab and select Make Interactive. If Make Interactive is already selected, try toggling it to Make Non-Interactive and then back.
After this is completed you should be able to click on links in the chat window as normal.
To solve the whisper issues, reset your chat to the default settings by typing the command /resetchat into your in-game chat. If the /resetchat command fails to resolve the issue, we will want to perform a full User Interface reset.

also when in interface go to the social one and there is a drop down that says new whisper box make sure it marked IN-LINE and will also stop the new tab from opening
