Am I missing something? it seems like a worse version of the Stormbound Armor Kit, except for the wording ‘all primary stats’. Do any classes benefit from more than one main stat anymore?
It is mainly aimed at the hybrid classes. Pally/druid/shamys, you get less stats, but you don’t have to carry 2 pairs of pants.

What’s weird is that it has a 40 point higher recipe difficulty then the other armor kits, making it unable to craft at max quality without ingenuity.
The max possible skill available (without racial bonuses) for this is 446, when the skill needed is 440. You do not need ingenuity/concentration to do this. I am staring at it right now and my bar is full.
That said, like tailoring, there seems to be some funny hidden skill somewhere in the tree. For tailoring I know there’s a hidden 30 points for reagents in node 25 of Quality Fabric. I’m not sure where it is in leatherworking but I know it exists because writhing hide magically has 70 more points than sporecoated hide even with the same ingredients. I’d have to go through the leatherworking tree point by point in the PTR to find it. It’s on my to-do list…
Actually I was wrong this doesn’t have hidden skill, it’s just weird lol… Seems like the other reagents are the ones that are not right lol.
So charged armor kit has a difficulty of 440. That actually should have been the difficulty of the other ones.
Here are the points:
Material = .4*440 = 176
Base skill = 100
Tools/accessories= 40
Flawless fortes = 30
Spotless stitching= 70
Industrious innovations = 30
Total 446 skill available
Yeah apparently they put reagent skill in the multicraft wheel. To be fair it does say so in the tooltip. So actually all the reagents are wrong in LW. They all should have higher difficulty.
For example for sporecoated hide you have materials = 160 + all that other skill so you end up with 430 possible skill with only 400 difficulty. Usually for non-trivial items the difference between difficulty and available skill is less than 5. So these hides are just super forgiving and you can use some rank 2 materials to make rank 3 hides.
For writhing hide, it alone among all the reagents is also classified as “Nerubian”. This is getting an extra 70 points from “Nerubian Nous”. Which brings its total available skill to 500 when its difficulty is only 400. That means you can use Rank 2 materials and still be 20 points over the limit to make this Rank 3.
