You’ll need to read this to figure out what version you’re trying to go to and what you can or cannot do, as “regular Classic server” is vague between the seven billion types of Classic in existence.

Yes, you absolutely can.
From the article:
“ Hardcore characters can transfer to non-Hardcore Normal PvE Anniversary realms, so feel free to revive your un-alived characters on Normal PvE Anniversary realms after your transfer”
Under the shop services there is a “Free Character Transfer” option.
If you’re on anniversary your only option is Dreamscythe, you can’t xfer to the pvp realm
You also don’t have to wait until you die, you can xfer prior to death if you’d like. Many people leveled to 60 hardcore and then transferred after they hit max level so they could raid and pvp normally

OP asked to transfer to a regular Classic server. They didn’t mention Anniversary Classic server.
If they are on an era hardcore server they can transfer to an era pve server. If its anniversary hc they can transfer to anniversary regular.
But they can transfer from hc to regular.
Its super easy to test out if you insist on not believing me

OP is asking to transfer from Hardcore to Mists Classic servers. He said nothing about a free transfer and nothing about Anniversary.
What I’m seeing says:
It is not possible to transfer a character between World of Warcraft, WoW Classic Era, and WoW Classic Progression

They never said anything about mists.
There are vanilla classic servers from 2019, those are called “era” servers. Then theres the 20th anniversary vanilla servers. You can xfer from hc era to regular era, or hc anniversary to regular anniversary.
You cannot xfer from one version of the game to others, such as hc era to regular anniversary or hc anniversary to mists classic.
A “regular Classic server” to me is Mists Classic. He didn’t specify. So it’s quite vague.
Either way, he can read the article and figure it out for himself since there’s no idea what he means and now it looks like we’re both guessing.

Regular classic from this context seems to just be non-hardcore. On the launcher you have two options for classic, World of Warcraft Classic and Mists of Pandaria Classic, so unless OP specified the mists version, I will answer them as if they are talking about WoW:Classic and not MoP:Classic
Well, that’s the issue. We don’t know. It’s vague. So OP is just going to have to read the article instead of listening to either of us, because there are too many versions of Classic. lol
I’m just going to edit my post to leave only the article, since neither of us can say yes or no to it without clarification.
