I only tested this on female void elf and human, but they now sit very weird (legs spread super, ridiculously far) on some of my mounts now, which wasn’t the case before. Mounts I’ve noticed it on so far: luminous starseeker, shu-zen, the divine sentinel. Please fix, it looks ridiculous!
Edit: As of 11/17, this has been fixed on my Luminous Starseeker, but is still broken on Shu-Zen – not 100% fixed.
Other mounts I’ve noticed it on: Astral cloud serpent, drake mounts, proto drakes, and I’m sure lots of others. I don’t remember them always being this way.

Yes! I came here to mention this. I’ve noticed with my Luminous Starseeker (a $25 mount, I might add). All races I’ve tried. Looks awful. Please fix. I would attach images, but I don’t see how to do that.
I’ve also noticed this on the ashenvale chimaera and soaring skyterror mounts. It looks terrible. 
I agree Alaruu. I spent $50 on two mounts that I no longer enjoy because they look STUPID. I either want a refund or a fix and I’ve seen no acknowledgement of this problem.
This is a general problem with Blizzard. They rely on players to catch bugs and problems in the game, especially after firing most of their QA employees. But they fail basic the basic element of customer relations in keeping those some contributing customers informed and thanked. A simple reponse, “Thank you! We have noted this concern and passed it on to the the development team for evaluation” would go miles to encouraging players to continue helping and avoiding duplicate posts.

Nah, this is part of another problem where they add something or make a change that they think players will like without feedback to support the addition/change.
They obviously made this change without a lot of feedback outside the dev team, given how hated the new mount animation for wide mounts is.
So any word on the Shu-Zen mount because I just bought the woof pack deal and come to find out it looks horrible on my blood elf. Hope this gets fixed.

The new phalynx mounts have the same problem. I’m actually glad to see that there is a more general issue because that means they will eventually get around to fixing it (hopefully).
For people who absolutely hate the new “wide mount sitting” animations and want the new animation cycle removed from the game, it’s not “fixed.”
The devs did revert some of the mount animation changes, but there’s still plenty of mounts that use the new wide mount sitting animations.
That said, it’s subjective as to whether or not the “issue” is “fixed,” though I haven’t seen much praise for the new wide mount animations.

it was fixed for the luminous starseeker, but not for other mounts. shu-zen was never fixed, for example.
Just notice this on Drake of the Northwind, it’s like my characters doing some weird leg splits. Why was it changed?
