Character unit frame randomly vanishing

Since 9.2, my character unit frame just randomly goes away. Wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t the only source of knowing my health and resources. I though it might just be me, but I saw it was also happening to a WoW streamer I was watching the other day too. So, it might not be common but it is happening to more people than me.

May be related, my cursor gets stuck on the right vertical action bar. The pointer can still move around, but clicking only click on one button on the right vertical bar. Wasted a lot of consumables with this bug so far.

I’m increasingly noticing this happening, but it’s almost always when I’m in Zereth Mortis. Which, as you pointed out, isn’t really fun when you can’t see your health and such.

Yeah, now that I think about it, I can’t think of it happening outside of ZM. But then, I’m not outside of ZM much since the patch. But I’ll pay more attention to when it happens and where I am.

Just noticed that today too. /reload seems to fix it

Yeah, so far it’s only on my DH, but then again, she’s pretty much the only alt I’m really playing since the patch. I’ll have to pay attention and see if it happens on any other alt.

Yeah, one day when it was really bad I almost made a /reload macro. It was happening that often.

This happens to me in ZM any time i open a puzzled chest. The only way i can seem to get it back is to log or find another puzzled chest.

I have been experiencing it on any character that is involved with a puzzle treasure chest in Zereth Mortis. A simple UI reload fixes the issue, but it is annoying.

Happening to me as well, whenever I exit a ZM puzzle chest. This is a pretty serious bug; please look into this.

I can say it’s happening on alts. I still haven’t seen it happen outside of ZM. But I haven’t really noticed it just being tied to chests yet.

Been happening to me for a few days. It’s the puzzle chests causing it for me. Any time I exit the mini game my character frame is gone

I am still experiencing this issue. It happens randomly since 9th March. I do not use addon.

I know reload UI could fix this problem but thats a bit hard to do during a fight. Looking forward to this issue getting fixed.

It happens after opening a puzzle box.

The worst part is I joined LFR without realizing, and it caused a massive amount of LUA errors that persisted until I left the LFR.

This seems to be happening to me a lot after the most recent patch. The only fix I have found is to reload the ui, which can be quite inconvenient if you are in the middle of a mob fight (cannot see your health status).

Even though it seems most of the occurrences have since been resolved, the character’s portrait will still disappear after completing the Cantaric puzzle for “Connecting It All”.

It is still happening to me today. It does not seem to be related to opening a puzzle box in my case, but rather when I dismount or take off (now that we can fly). However, the circumstances aren’t predictable and I can have an entire session without it happening.

Next time this happens I will try “/reload”, as up until now I have had to “reconnect” to fix it.

Pushing the F1 key will target yourself or doing a /reload (making a macro helps). Blizzard has not responded to any of the players bug posts. it’s been almost 2 weeks since the first post of this bug…
