looking to transfer my main to another realm. Will I lose anything? Is everything on my main transferred to new realm? first transfer so would appreciate info etc, ty

The only thing you might lose is gold. At 110+ you can only have a max of 1,000,000 gold on that character for transferring. Everything else is unaffected. You still keep items, quests and all of that. If your name is taken on that realm you’ll be forced to name change, fair warning.

I lost all sorts of pets and mounts when they migrated my wow accounts under one BNET.
They refused to give them back…so at this point I dont change anything about my accounts, including server moves.

Did this recently and I will tell you absolutely not.
Only time you may lose something would be if you were swapping factions.

you’re not transferring between accounts.
you’ll be fine.

account-bound things are account-bound… which is why they didn’t transfer, and why blizzard wouldn’t give them extra copies.

you’ll probably be ok…not trying to fear monger or anything.
But Im still finding mounts they ‘lost’…like I no longer have my goblin trikes I had for forever. Missing the pandaren kite…had to re buy the tiller goat mounts I had already purchased.

Im just saying that things can happen and they dont seem to be too willing to replace things if they get lost due to THEIR error.
The rep told me she could SEE that I should have the kite..I had the Achievement…she said Id have to go get it again on another character.

Yeah…probably not, lol.

I dont know what to tell you. I dont do transfers now. Id rather just boost and not take the risk, personally.
BUT…thats just me and its only because of what happened and their unwillingness to fix it.

You can’t have pets in inventory or anything in mailbox. Give pets to an alt if you have more than three and can’t bind them. Then after the transfer, put your pets in a cage, then the alt can bind the extras to the account so you will get them back.

If you faction change, it will cause faction quests to go away, but rep will transfer to equivalent group. You would need to redo the war campaign and azshera intro if you want that. Also mecha intro. Your table followers will switch over.

I transferred from Feathermoon to Wyrmrest Accord a few weeks ago, and I still have everything.

Sounds like you didn’t read what she said.

She moved an account from one Battlenet account to another you aren’t even leaving your account. You were just leaving your server you will lose nothing.

Things are bound to your Battlenet account not your server you’re not taking your character off your account you will be fine

Occasionally I’ve had an issue where quests get untracked - they are still there, just have to re-track them from the map, but they aren’t in the hud quest log.

Also, you may lose add-on settings. Things like dps trackers or elvui will see this as a new character- so you have to go to their settings and change the profile back to how you want it.

Essentially all your addons will treat this as a new character since the realm part of the name changed, so it may require a bit of setting that stuff back up.
