I have a lot of characters I play regularly. Most of them share a common keybinding setup and so I have the “character specific keybinding” button unclicked. A few characters I have some customization so I have it clicked on those. The problem is that recently within the last 2 weeks I’ve noticed that when I log into one of the characters that is supposed to have the button unclicked- it’s clicked. Then when I turn it off and go back to the default global keybinding, the next day the button is selected again. Is this something that could be cause by an add-on or did something change in the last content patch regarding keybindings and character specific ones?
I’m seeing this same strange behavior. The setting will stick through a /reload, but if you logout/login it reverts back to Character Specific. I ended up copying my account keybinds to every character since it’s so annoying to constantly check that the setting wasn’t changed.
I’m seeing something very similar on classic. It’s like all are separate profiles by default or settings are also inconsistent. Which, to be kind about it, its extremely frustrating. Interface seems to be buggy. I wonder if they’re somehow related.
If you alt+f4 out of the game, the settings will not save. You need to /reload or you can log out naturally. If you get DC’d before either of those can occur, then the settings will not save. It has been this way since vanilla.
That’s alot of assumptions…I always reload first and disconnect properly and still a thing so shrug dunno. Forgot I even made this post tbh. Not that worried about it. Was just an observation.
