It’s way past time for this to be updated, is it not? I have over 20 characters on one realm, and it’s annoying having to scroll constantly to find the right toon. (Yes, I’m aware I can re-order them, but the ones I use the most are at the top)
Can we get a select screen similar to Smash Bros?
Small boxes with the headshot of our character on the right to replace the scrolling text that we can click on to see the character, then press Enter World like normal? Just have the boxes re-size based on how many characters you have.

Ooh could be cute and I like the idea that you see their faces in the character list as well.
Imo the character selection screen does need some kind of revamp. Since Shadowlands launch, I haven’t been able to drag characters around without a bunch flying all over and getting rearranged. It’s become a task of clicking arrow buttons. Was a massive pain when both my ally and horde roster were all on wyrmrest.

I have tons of characters. I’d be fine with there being an optional alternate view, but I wouldn’t want that myself.

Oh god, please no! That is awful.
But putting in a search function would not be remiss where you could search by race, class or name to make it easier for those with 20+ characters.

I’d like to be able to sort them differently, but not like that. Something similar to battle pet sorting—by class, or level, or race, or w/e. Maybe an option to show all or hide certain sections.
I still don’t understand how some people can have that many characters without feeling overwhelmed with too much to do.
Honestly I would rather have our characters be classified by classes. Or factions or races, let us filter them!

I have 32 toons 8x60 and 22 for 22x50 . And i do most of the mount farming or camping ,doesnt need to be best or anything
Never really thought about it before, but a new character selection screen would be kind of nice. Although I feel it would definitely need to be OPTIONAL. Blizzard tends to have difficulty with making things that… 
I think decreasing the size of the selection tabs would be a good start, so that more than ten or so would show on the screen at a time. Maybe add some nice aesthetic touches (portraits?) to make the characters stand out more, so we’re not just looking at names.
Obviously not something totally like Smash bros, but something cuter and more organized than what we have now would be cool.
No, because WoW isn’t Smash Bros. Is it really that taxing to scroll??
They could go with a command line system for character login.

I have 24 on one realm right now and honestly they just need to makes the boxes a little smaller so more will fit on the screen, OR just let us choose to resize them smaller.
