Is there any way to make it show only characters on my current/selected servers?
Is there any way to completely disable the “favorites” section? I tried just emptying it, but every new character I make gets put there, and I have to drag it away and re-close the section. It’s not terrible, but it is annoying.
I wish, but no. This is “new and iomproved” 
Also no, but it would be great. That campfire thing is just not interesting. I emptied my Favorites as well.
Yeah, but to be fair, do you really make that many new characters?
Not usually, but right now, yes. I’m…fiddling around with things. x_X
There is actually a way to do it! In the very top right, there is a search bar. Simply type in the name of the realm you want to see and it’ll only show characters from that realm. It sucks you have to do it each time, but it’s quick.
