(Please forgive me if this is placed in the wrong area, I wasn’t totally sure of where this best fit.)
I have recently encountered an issue that has by now persisted for a few days: when bringing up my character screen in-game, not only does the image of my character not load, but so do options like changing my title. Initially it was something I ignored because I just assumed it was a temporary bug, maybe my addons acting up (I should mention I use none that actually modify this screen, however), but it’s clear to me by now there’s an actual problem. This is happening on all of my toons, not just one. I’d share a screenshot, but I don’t have that capability on the forums.
I’d be super appreciative of any help with this! I’d be happy to share addon or UI information if necessary.
I have not since this issue arose. This is probably an embarrassingly dumb question, but if I do uninstall and then reinstall, will my interface and ESPECIALLY my addons and their settings be reset/wiped? Not even a month ago I had to redo absolutely everything when my computer needed to be entirely reset, and I’ll tell ya I do not feel like doing all that again, lol.
I have now done just that, and much to my surprise it didn’t work. At the very least it was probably a great move to have that stuff backed up for the future, haha.
*LATER EDIT, can’t double-post: Ah, turns out it was quite a simpler problem than I expected: addon interference, of course. I turned 'em all off and activated them one-by-one, and I quickly found that only when Action Bar Profiles was enabled, was I having this problem. Turned it off, boom, all better. Not too sure why ABP isn’t working properly when it’s all updated and such, but eh, not a vital addon for me.
