Hi, I have finally decided to post and comment about how I absolutely hate that my characters sit down on the camp site character screen, and decided I should turn it into a positive suggestion post.
I’ll break it into 2 parts - The background, and the characters
Background (Camp):
- Not sure if it’s technically possible as-is, or would take some work, but I think it would be good to add the different race’s default character backgrounds as ‘camp’ options.
- I think a couple of the camps have your characters further back into the scene, which makes them look smaller. I don’t personally like that. Be cool to be able to slightly adjust how closet or far they appear from the camera.
- Also for people like me who have the camps broken out like 4 druids, 4 monks, 4 warriors, etc, etc… the Class Order Halls would make good camp backgrounds.
Characters:
- The reason I made this post - I HATE that my characters sit down. Possible to add a small drop down list of poses and/or just a toggle to disable sitting down by the ← → yellow spin arrows under the characters? Pleease?

Q: how many people just sit with the character select / campsite idle?
As far as default race backgrounds for campsites – I think the aim of the campsite was to offer variety from the individual backgrounds we’ve had since 2004. Probably not going to get those as campsite options.
I have no idea. But I can say this - In the very short amount of time it takes to switch to a different character on a different camp, you will see characters sit down. Maybe a better option is to have them sit after like 20 seconds or so, and then you wouldn’t need the sit toggle.
However, I do really like the idea of the drop down to choose different idle poses. So who knows.

I’d honestly like a toggle for choosing warband or single display, but retain the ability to use your campsites.
It’s a dream, nothing more.
I’d like it if, when you turn your character, they remain in the position you put them (you could have a reset option in the drop-down menu) instead of resetting every time you log in.
For backgrounds, I’d like to see the Rogue Class Hall treasure room, Suramar City, and Area 52 (in Netherstorm from Burning Crusade) showing the rocket!
I would like to be able to use the selfie cam, take a picture and use it as my background over the preselected ones. I don’t feel like this should be a problem given how many games have mods for backgrounds.
