For 4 days now my character just randomly spins doing 360’s. It happens more often when I enter a group event like a raid or dungeon. I can only move by holding right click and moving carefully. Then I have to spam press the directional keys w, a, s, d to get it to stop for sometimes 30 seconds or a few minutes. I have contacted support and they said to to go to bug report if the problem continues. I cannot enjoy/play the game like this. Below are all of the steps I have tried including disabling all addons. Nothin is working.
Please retest the game’s behaviour after following each set of steps below.
• Disable Mouse Sensitivity
- Open the Interface menu
- Click Mouse in the list on the left
- Make sure Enable Mouse Sensitivity is unchecked.
• Disable Max Foreground FPS
- Open the System menu
- Click Advanced in the list on the left
- Uncheck the box next to Max Foreground FPS
• Disable Raw Mouse Cursor
- Launch World of Warcraft and log into a character
- Type /console rawMouseEnable 0 into your chat box and press enter.
- If this does not work, reverse the change by typing /console rawMouseEnable 1 into your chat box and pressing enter.
• Change the USB Refresh rate/Polling rate
If you have dedicated mouse software installed:
- Exit World of Warcraft
- Open your mouse software
- Set the Polling rate/USB Refresh rate to 125
• Disable Fullscreen Optimizations/Override DPI scaling
- Open your World of Warcraft Installation folder (you can open it directly from the Blizzard App under Options > Show in Explorer)
- Right-click on the game executable (Wow.exe)
- Select Properties
- Open the compatibility tab
- Check Disable fullscreen optimizations
- Check Override high DPI scaling behavior
- Set ‘Scaling performed by’ to Application
- Click Apply and OK.
