When I try and log into WOTLK is says “Character Not Found”??

Doubtful, WoW crashed in general. It’s probably related to what’s going on now.
But why would my character not be found?
I REALLY hope I don’t have to do 1-70 again 
It means the link to the database that contains your character isn’t working for any one of a number of possible issues. Your character is fine as even if the server caught fire and was destroyed, they are backed up on a daily basis. Do you do the same with your own data?

People in the past have received that message and got their access back. Usually means the WoW servers are down and not connecting to us. Characters should still be there, but Blizzard needs to fix their issues before we can reach them. Too early to REALLY panic. A little panic? Understandable.
It’s been like 10 minutes already, thats a really really long time for a ‘oopsie just a glitch it’ll fix itself’
And yes, I am getting that same message, and reminding myself to breathe.

Given that I have seen DDOS attacks knock out the servers completely for hours at a time, I don’t think it’s time to panic.

My character got a Schrödinger’s cat message: lost/found until I log in.
I’m getting the same error message when I try to log onto a character on a retail server that isn’t down at the moment.
Don’t worry. Your character still exists. It’s just that right now, something’s standing in the middle of the digital path that should take you, on your PC, to the place that character data is actually stored.
